Several shots at a big Royal

Back earlier today from another overnight at Mohegan Sun. They have been giving me really nice suites the last few trips even though I haven't asked for one. I have been playing a lot of Double Down Stud vp the last few sessions. These machines are really old and there are only a few left. You have the potential for some really big wins on the games in the menu. I usually play Deuces Wild or Bonus Deuces Wild. Between last night and this morning I had two shots at a 20k Royal, 3 shots at 4k Deuces quads, and many shots at Wild Royals and a few shots at 5 Aces. I only managed to pull out one Wild Royal for 1k which covered only about half of my losses. Those were all 5 dollar bets on a quarter machine. The machine lets you bet up to 25 units. The anticipation is high before you turn over that last card. I would like to hit one nice one before the end of the year. The paytables on these machines are only in the 97-98 percent range, but you can play easily a thousand hands an hour since you don't have to hold and draw cards. These machines get a lot of play and are well worn. I usually can only get them late at night or early in the morning. I will miss them when they are gone and will hope for the big one on one of the next trips. Until then.....try, try, try....and try again.

Thanks Ted. The director of player development has a really nice 55 Ford pickup hot rod. If I was smart, when I hit one, I would immediately run out and get something like that especially since I have been between old cars for some years now. So I guess I have to be both lucky and smart. That is a very hard thing to do for a vp fanatic. Of course the house could use quite a bit of updating too, but I will save that for the second hit if it ever comes. Health is still number one in my book. Have that and you have everything. That is why I say in my posts good luck and health to all.
