Gas station play
I got some gas late last night at a Shell/Green Valley grocer. This mini market does have some decent VP. I invested my usual 20 bucks.

I think I see the reflection of A-1 Steak Sauce in the pic for an A-1 kind of hit!
I also wonder how many W-2Gs that kind of place puts out...

Nice trip for gas. Do they pay you right on the spot for a win this large?

Yes they do. They have one of those cash safes for VP. Some do not have those, which requires you to wait 1-3 hours for the cash guy to show up.

Congratulations on the super hit! How many gallons of gas does that equal to in Vegas?

great hit!! I remember playing the Video Poker inside the 7-11 that is on the corner of Fremont Street and Las Vegas Blvd. in Downtown Vegas...the machine was still set up to spit out real coins as well as accept both Bills and single coins (many people would plop in one, two or three coins after paying for their good at the counter, using the change they received from paying the clerk, and as such you'd see a lot of 2 or 3 coin hits for premium hands) At 25 cents you never need worry about hand pays but one time, around 3 am one evening back in 2005 my cousin was playing Triple Bonus Poker and hit the four aces for 1200 credits (300 bucks) and the coin hopper barely covered the first 100 bucks of the jackpot, so he had to get the other 200 bucks in bills from the clerk. Well, at 3 am the only employee in the place was some young man from Taiwan who had a name tag that said "Wu"...he refused to come out from behind the counter and the machine(s) were a good thirty feet away so you really could not see the screen from there....all Wu could see was the light flashing on top of the machine. Anyway, after almost 30 minutes of frustration, laughter (on my part at this spectacle), and obstinant ignorance on the part of this "visitor" from the island of Formosa, another 7-11 employee entered the store and she was a lot more sane and fluent in English....so she paid my cousin and we left.Anyone else ever play video poker in Vegas in a 7-11? how about the supermarket? I even remember video poker machines in the Burger Kings!
