Gifts to Casino Hosts

Post by theacequeen »

Do any of you gift your casino host or other casino employees at the holidays? If so, what kind of gift do you give.....cash...gift card...candy...etc? This is our first year as a CET 7-star, and we have not asked our host for much but she has been very responsive to anything we have asked for. Also, we used the services of The Northern Nevada Air Programs and the rep was wonderful in arranging a terrific trip for us without using the services of a casino host. Should we send her something also? Thanks.

We usually do a gift card inside of a thank you card with a brief note of appreciation. We have never given a gift to the rep at Northern Nevada Air but we use them quite a bit and I think it is a great idea to give them a gift.

I do gift cards as well and I stick to the majors, Visa, MasterCard, AmEx, instead of store cards. They're more versatile.

Thanks. I think I'll just send the Northern Nevada Rep something now and give my host a gift at Christmas. I was considering sending each something from one of my two favorite food-gift websites http://clearbrookfarms.com/ or http://www.sunnylandfarms.com/ but maybe a gift card would be more suitable.

Do either of these places offer a "catalog" that has available a selection of items that a giftee can chose from? For example: if you purchase a "choose your gift" from the merchant with a chosen monetary value and give it to your rep and host; they can then chose from a selection of gifts that are available in that price range?

I hadn't thought of that -- I'll give a call. I've sent other people gifts from these two places and they not only have loved them, but have ordered gifts to send to others. The preserves from Clearbrook are especially wonderful. One of my friends just sent me a couple of jars of their pumpkin butter and it makes a delicious treat on a cracker with a little squirt of whipped cream -- decadent!

I've given a variety of items that are very similar to what has already been mentioned (never the same thing twice).  However, I also personalize the gift in such a way that recalls something during the course of the year that only the host and I would recall (something we discussed, uniquely relate to, etc...).
