7Star NorthEast Cruise and AC
Just returned from a very nice 7Star Cruise aboard the NCL Gem. Seven day cruise out of NYC to two Canadian ports and three New England stops. NYC was pouring rain both on my departure and my return, but except for rain in Bar Harbor, Maine, all of the cruise ports had beautiful, cool fall weather.
I stayed the night before departure at Harrah's Marina in AC. I was not impressed with the Atrium Tower suites, and the short visit to the casino that night was fruitless.
The casino on the ship, however, treated me very well. I do not have photos, since I keep my cell phone in the room safe while at sea to avoid any accidental charges. I had several hand pays on VP, and even one on a $5 slot. My table play results were fair, but nothing exciting. I did, however, get to he final table on the ship-wide Texas Hold 'Em tournament, finishing 7th overall.
With all the bad weather in NYC on my return, it was very laborious getting to AC for that night (sorry about not connecting with you that day, DB). I switched my lodging from Harrahs to Caesars AC, since my host there wanted to take me to dinner, and then the REBA concert. I barely had time to make it.
Although I had a 5 AM limo to the Philly airport the next morning, I decided to play some at Caesars after the concert. Here are a couple of hits..
This one I got playing off my FreePlay..
A couple nice hits on Super Triple Play..
Heading to Biloxi later this week for a golf event over this coming weekend.

Very nice Billy, we have been going to AC alot more than Vegas lately. I have been 7stars for 2 years and find they always treat us very well. Caesers is by far the best place to stay we feel. Going out again on the 23 - 27 of October (33rd anniversary) Good luck next weekend.

Glad you had a great time and had some nice gambling action on the ship as well. We are anxiously awaiting our 7 star event cruise out of New Orleans in December. I am sure like the one you just returned from it is going to be a blast.

Forgot to ask about cruise hand pays. Since we do not cruise that often, neither one of us has had a HP on a cruise ship. Do they still give you a w2g or are you off the hook as far as taxes go?

The short answer is - it depends. On NCL ships, their casino operates out of Miami, Florida. W2-Gs are issued for hand pays, and are reported to the US IRS, as if the casino was in FLA.
I have also sailed on RCL, and no reporting was done on my hand pays in international waters on those ship's casinos.

Farmfresh, where do you typically stay in AC.....and how often do you go >????You seem very upbeat about AC so I am going to guess you pretty much stick to the Ceasars properties and rarely deviate.....that's very smart, as it turns out, these days, when it comes to staying and playing in AC

Heading to Biloxi later this week for a golf event over this coming weekend. Yep, I recognize those those "SOOPER DOOPER" play machines from Caesars.....they treated you much better than they treated me But alas, I only goofed off as far as VP goes when I was in Caesars last week......I did have some success on the Ultimate ACES game in Caesars though....there were two (2) of them and the paytables on a couple of the games (Double Bonus I think) were somewhat decent (above 98% ). I hit a couple of dealt full houses with a multiplier that helped offset losses on the Sooper Dooper games. It appears you were not at all impressed with Harrahs on any level......I am very sorry to hear that. The casino at Harrahs really is head and shoulders above Both Caesars and Ballys, even though Ballys HAS definitely improved quite a bit. I would hazard a guess though, Billyjoe, if you had more time (like a couple days with no pressure) to spend in Harrahs AC you would draw a better opinion overall of the casino at least. Certainly you would have noticed just how much more VAST the casino is and how much more VIDEO POKER games they have to offer all around!! Having read your other post in my AC thread, about where you got the run around n your room during your return, and having seen your comment about the Atrium Suite above, I cannot say I am surprised...disappointed but not surprised. Harrahs has been the next best place in AC after Borgata but even they are slipping. I just dont get it.....the opportunity is there for the remaining AC establishments to "clean up" so to speak with all the customers losing places to gamble (AC club Revel, Trump plaza and showboat) There has not been much in the way of offers or pushing from the three other CET casinos in AC to scarf up the showboat loyalists, to make certain they at least stay within the CET family. When you booked this cruise did they just "automagically" put you in Harrahs or did you have a choice of CET properties??
