Line drive tripple off the left field wall

Not a home run, but my second nice bailout and then some for my most recent Mohegan Sun overnight.
Arrived at Mohegan Sun late Tues after handling family obligations all day. Just in time to catch the most recent episode of Boardwalk Empire in the room. This one was very intense, but also very good.
Played most of the night into breakfast time. I tried Fla Phil's method for about 4 hours on Deuces, but no luck. I finally defaulted back to my Martingale Clone method of play and caught my first bailout of deuces quads on a quarter machine with fourteen quarters in. Came just at the right time too as I really needed a break, some light breakfast, and a nap.
I picked up my play again a little later in the morning after visiting and getting coffee for the concierge staff and some fresh air outside. They were really busy due to conventions coming in. I went back and forth with job, deuces wild, and joker kings and soon found out that I was no longer even and slipping into the usual downward spiral.
I cut my losses on draw poker and found one of the few Double Down Stud machines open. Even better, it was in the non smoking area. After only playing about ten minutes, I was lucky enough to hit dealt deuces quads with six quarters in so the bet when doubled was twelve. That resulted in a 1200 dollar hand pay which took care of the post breakfast downward spiral and then a bunch.
I still had nearly a hundred bucks left in the machine after the hand pay, so I decided to switch games from bonus deuces wild to regular deuces wild. The wild royal and quads do pay better on that game, but you miss out on some of the other premium hands if they are dealt.
I am not complaining, but sure enough, that is exactly what happened. I was playing with that remaining hundred bucks for about ten minutes and was dealt three aces and a deuce. I knew before I doubled and saw the fifth card it would make the aces quads into five aces. That resulted in a payout based on what coins I had bet of seventy five bucks on this game. Had I still been playing Bonus Deuces Wild on the Double Down Stud game, the five aces would have paid a grand. At that point, early afternoon had arrived, I had things to take care of at home, and it was a beautiful day outside as well. Cashed out, brought a nice roll home for a change, and had a great view of the foilage which is peak now in northeastern Ct. Well...That's all folks until the next time....Olds...Those little frown faces were supposed to be right after would have paid a grand. Messed up somehow I guess. Computer stuff is one of my weaker points unfortunately.

Based on the topic, I thought you were referring to the play during today's ALCS Game 4. I distinctly remember Alex Gordon making the catch and hanging on the ball after running into the fence. Otherwise any other non-Gold Glove left fielder would have allowed a triple off the left field wall.

Anyhow back to your story, good job on the comeback after a miserable start, so rare to get a quad drawn in double down stud (personally I played Crazy 4 Poker table game quite a bit to know). I have yet to try out FloridaPhil's deuces system, but I will soon. Understanding that 5 3s/4s/5s/ and 5 Aces are premium hands in Bonus Deuces Wild, I know understand you barely missed hitting the ball out of the ballpark for a homer.

What a funny coincidence about the game. I just picked that type of hit at random and didn't see the game either. For some reason that nobody can explain in vp, Double Down Stud is the only thing bailing me out lately. Draw poker has been pretty bad overall. I still like Phil's method, I just get a little bored when it doesn't work after a few hours and then I try some long shots. I'm afraid if all of us played the Phil method, the casinos would yank the vp machines over lack of revenue.

I am worried about that too, if the casinos will continue to get even more tight with Video Poker machines for various reasons such as Dancer's advantage mindset and potentially Phil's system (I am eager to try it out to maintain a bankroll). I will enjoy 99%+ games as long as possible, though Pick'em Poker and Double Down Stud is close to a 100% game.

The only part I am optimisitc about is that I still see a majority would rather play slots or table games over Video Poker at nearby places here. Other than in Vegas casinos, not many people play proper strategy.

Speaking of Bonus Deuces Wild in single line draw poker, was wondering if anyone tried Phil's system where Straight pays even money and Full House/Flush might pay 1 less credit in return for premium 5OAKs. I know 4OAKs are as common as a straight in Deuces.

olds,
Sweet C and I would have loved to visited Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods during the fall but spring wasn't bad. Congratulations on the hits. Since we both play lots of deuces it amazing how many deuce Aces or dealt Aces come when you switch to regular Deuces.

Way to go olds, I'm just refering to you from now on as "The Comeback Kid." Switching games is something I fret about occasionally too: switch, don't switch, switch, don't switch. Ahh, that's life.

The big guy upstairs willing, I'll be here to show you guys around next time you make it out this way. The concierge staff at Mohegan is especially helpful too. I gave Mr. and Mrs Fla Phil the grand mini tour a couple on months ago. We should also be able to get into the lounge as my guests. In the meantime, best of health and luck...In that order of course.
