4 aces before the draw not playing ddb

So I'm playing $1 triple bonus that pays 1200 for the four aces and the cards that come up are ace ace ace ace king. Part of me wants to throw the king away and see if I get the kicker and part of me says keep the king so I don't get disappointed if a 2 3 or 4 pops up...well my curiosity gets the best of me and sure enough the 4 of spades makes an unwelcome appearance....had I not switched from DDB a few minutes earlier I would have had the 2k...then I have to wait 30 min. for the attendant and w2 because the casino I mostly go to has very nice staff but always short on help so jackpots take a while to pay....the good news is that after I get my 1200 I decide to stick one more hundred in and try $1 deluxe before heading home...quad 6 and quad 10 in a span of 10 hands so I end up going home 1600 ahead for the night...nice to get some good hands after a brutal september and october

Very nice hits. Congrats. I just started playing Bonus Poker Deluxe myself. I like getting 80 for 1 on the quads and not worrying if the rught quad comes in. Like you, a brutal Sept and Oct. I'm waiting for the ice to melt, but the weather is still cold to say the least. Good luck in the future too.

COuld have been worse a LOT of ways (JoB, BP, BPD, DB)Amen!     I cannot tell you how often I used to get fourr aces (with or without kickers) on the old 25 cent  9/6 JOB progressive bank of machines at CAesars-AC (next to the TOGA bar, BEFORE they went to server-based).........One session, lasting about 5 hours and covering  nearly 6,000 hands (I was banging at top speed)  I hit quad aces 5 times, once with a kicker (2 of spades).    Worst part of this is in 3 plus years of play I never ever hit a royal on those dang machines, while many other players constantly bragged about how often thay had hit the royal on them!    grrrrr

You may remember one of my posts some years ago DB where I talked about hitting aces quads 5 times in a session as well on 9/6 job. They have since yanked the 8/5 Bonus poker. The best you can find now is 7/5. Not bad, but not great.

When you have been playing games like DDB or even Double Bonus or Triple Bonus poker, Playing 25 cent Bonus poker (either 7/5  or even 8/5) is kinda like kissing your sister or favorite aunt on the cheek......the Large hits you get from DDB and the like just cannot be replicated on Bonus poker unless you actually DO hit a stretch of FREQUENT quad Aces (and maybe a few 2s, 3s  or 4s thrown in, in RAPID succession, along with a straight flush or two.....);  this can be very boring.I have recently taken to playing 50 cent Bonus poker on any 8/5 machine I can find in AC (Resorts-AC is FULL of 8/5 BP on almost every menu).....normally I am loathe to jump UP in Denom regardless of how I am doing, but in this exceptional case I am ok with it......we'll see how it turns out over the next 6 months and beyond.
