    Back from a nice overnight stay at Mohegan Sun with the Mrs. Saw a very good show Temptations and Four Tops review and some good eats here and there. Nice room and pleasant chit chat with the staff. The gaming on the other hand was the usual horrible. I played mostly nickels on spin poker. Nine lines for about 10 hours or so and deuces quads never hit. I stayed with that game. The Mrs had similar stories on her vp too. I also tried a little double down stud hoping against hope for dealt quad deuces. Nada...Played just a little this morning before checkout. I have now stopped counting the Royalless streak which now numbers well over 500k hands again for the second time this year. What is even more unbeliveable in no deuces quads in about 100k hands...well until today...but this is how it happened. Put the last 20 dollar bill I was willing to risk in an Airport deuces machine this morning. The player's card was already packed away and the Mrs. was waiting for me to come get the bags etc. in the room. Told her I'm on my way. On the 3rd or 4th hand with no card in, deuces quads hits after holding 2. The next trip will be cardless just as my many many trips have been Royalless and deucesless. Glad others have had such good recent success playing. I am already scouting out the hours and denominations of the craps tables for the 2015 year. I cannot afford another vp year like this one. olds, glad you finally got your quads, you were way overdue! we can always hope for 2015 to be different, but, i am not holding my breath. i have been lucky to get my share of quad A w/kicker on DDB and TDB, plus a royal or two this year. my problem is even when i get a good couple of paying hands, i get these dead zones for 4, 5, 6 hours. i REALLY hope things turn around for you.

Awesome to hear you've got your Quad Deuces! Was it at MAX coin? The Players Card does not affect the outcome of a machine, it only gathers data from the Draw button, so hopefully you do not grow a superstition that playing without the card is the way to do it.

Definitely want things turn for the better for you in 2015

Yeah...I know the card in or out is supposed to meaningless as far as winning or losing goes, but you can't help but remember the events like this and forget all of the non memorable ones. Just like my other superstition...sticking a twenty in a machine usually means it will get sucked dry in short order, but putting in a hundred gets you some quick hits, and putting in ten hundreds almost guarantees you some premium hands. In reality, all that means is that more money gets you more hands played.... Oh, the hit on deuces quads at least had 5 quarters in. Better than 5 nickels anyway like most of my play earlier the evening before. I wished everyone a Happy New Year before, but forgot to add my usual for a healthy and safe one too.

It is not unusual for big hands to hit in streaks. This is just how randomness often plays out. I went over 500K hands with only 2 royals and then one in 4 out of my next 5 trips. When I look at my last million hands I should have hit about 25 royals and I had 23.

Don't cheat yourself out of player's card points. I know lots of people who think it makes a difference and the casinos love it. All my good streaks and bad streaks have had the player's card in the machine.

Glad you broke finally the ice and found quad deuces again!  I can't believe the slump you were in. I probably would have been shopping for golf clubs about mid way through a year like that.  Royals are next. You'll probably get 3-4 in one day!  Sometimes I think playing without my players card pays better, but that's my crazy human brain trying to make sense out of something that can't be explained.
