5:00 yesterday..the weather up north is great so I tell the wife that we will be missing work tomorrow and to pack a bag, we are taking a road trip.
5:30...leave Fargo, nd
1:30 am...arrive at casino in watersmeet,mi $1600 bankroll
2:15...hit quad 9 s for 239 credits on $5 machine
3:15...hit quad 9 s again on same machine to recoup losses from past hour...
4:00....hit quad 9 s on the $10 machine for $2,390...at that time we were down to our last $200
4:30...the wife has blown $1200 after I cave and let her play the $5 3x4x5x slot
4:45...I run into a cold streak on $10 deluxe and we are out of $$
9:30...get up, have breakfast, hit the road
11:00...wife goes antiquing in ironwood, mi for an hour with my credit card
8:30....get home, get ready for bed and work tomorrow..

{. I ask a couple if they were local players which they turned out to be so I ask them about the machines. They said they didn't recommend playing $1 denom because the machines would eat your lunch. Four of a kinds will be scarce as hens tooth and get ready to be blasted by 9's, no question about it they were right as rain. Despite the impressive pay tables these machines did seem to have some serious issues, I have never saw so many 9's in all my life of playing and so few quads, I actually started keeping a 9 if I had a low pair to extend my play, never seen anything like it.}

I have 169 quads on my phone (average is 13 per rank). Only 9 are quad 9s. I also only have 9 quad 5s and 6s. Those are the 3 lowest. The highest is 19 quad deuces.

So where I'm playing, definitely not a bias toward nines.

I am originally from Michigan and no there are many casinos that are closer to Fargo but the watersmeet casino is the first one you hit in Michigan. I have been going there for years, I know a lot of the staff both casino and hotel and its always a treat to go because it feels like home in a way...they have two machines that pay out 239 for quad 5-K on DDB and Db...Dakota magic casino at the n . s. Dakota border also has a few machines that pay 239 as does kewadin casino in st Ignace, MI...we had a very mild winter here, but after 6 months in Fargo the first road trip out in spring is always exciting...very rare to see clear skies and 55 degrees between here, Duluth, and all the way to the U.P. in early march

On the Quad 9's....
I was once playing a 8/5 BP $1 Bally GameMaker machine (a newer model) and I hit Quad 9's like six times in a row (over the course of a couple hours) Weird..but ****, i'll take quads vs no quads!

To be honest, 9 s don't come up for me much at all...I have found that kings are the most common in my time of playing. I am also on a very long streak of not seeing 4 4's...if memory serves I haven't had them since october

My longest drought is 5s. Nov. 14th. It was the first quad of five in 28 minute span of slowish single line play. Too bad it was on nickel STP bonus poker. All other quads I've hit at least once this year. Taking pics does help some records at least. Lol
