She was hot and I was not
When my wife gets on a roll there is no stopping her. We get to the casino at 11:30am Sunday morning and play a bit then hit bingo at 1:30. Poker was bad for me out of the gate. The 9th bingo game the wife bingo's for $750! At 5pm we head out for more play and meet for dinner at 7:30. She finds me, sits next to me and 5 mins. later bang a $1000 royal! I just got off that machine! She gives me $200 after dinner and off for more play, I can't hit a thing, nothing. At 10:30 we was to leave when she wants to play BUFFALO's Bang turns a 100 bucks into $800!I said the hot streak your on you need to hit the high stakes, so off we go.No big hits but playing together had a few nice hits. For us playing $5 machines is a big thrill. Just 2 years ago I was just a 20 coin nickel player! We had 1 other hit at the $2 level on JOB max bet, four 2s for 125 coins ($250) no pic as my phone battery died. She came home with $1850, me well she covered my poker losses or she would have been up more. I love this women! lol I never had a hit worth a dang all day. But the wife was hot and I was not!

Nice going. When my wife and I had reasonable VP sessions, we almost always had the same outcome, one was hot the other (usually me) ice cold.

I loved the topic of this discussion as the context applied to gambling rather than other things in reality. Not sure if the 4 way buffalo game version had a super bonus feature where you can get free spins on all 4 reels rather than the lone one that triggered it. Either way to win on a variety of games on a single casino visit is an amazing feat! Thanks for sharing a fun story wildman!

She went up to $5 and BET ONE COIN as opposed to staying at $1 and betting five coins? And she plays bingo and slots? She may have gotten lucky this particular trip but such holes in her game will be very expensive over time. I don't envy the guy who has a wife with such costly gambling habits. If you were recently playing nickels and she is now playing bigger stakes out of control, her losses will seem astronomical to a nickel player.

LOL The husband is the one who told her to play higher stakes.
I don't envy the guy who has a wife with such costly gambling habits.
This is a cruel and totally condescending statement. Wildman49's wife obviously couldn't afford to play $25 a hand all the time, so she took a shot at single coin $5 and won. So what? It's a fact that playing $5 single coin over time is a much bigger loser than playing max coin nickels, but what's the harm in doing it once in a while just for the fun of it? Even if she had hit a royal flush, she would have been $1,250 ahead of where she was.

Bob you and some of us here have a completely different mind-set. Many of us play VP for entertainment and fun. We love to win but we are spending money that may otherwise have gone to attending a concert, Broadway play, round of golf etc. Different strokes for different folks. Over 50 years ago, I read John Scarne's complete guide to gambling in which he implored readers to look at money spent gambling in this manner. He added that only with gambling, as opposed to other forms of entertainment, could one actually come out ahead.
