Speaking just for myself here. Just thinking about some of the things we vp players do over the years that make absolutely no sense. Any follow up stories welcome....

     You arrive at the casino and have somewhere between 6 and 12 hours to play, but have no plans to stay over due to things you have to do at home. The casino is filled with good restaurants and a nice food court and everything would be comped. Instead of relaxing and taking advantage of that, you decide not to miss any play time and pound away at the keys with just a bottle of water and maybe one drink and a couple of bathroom breaks. Finally, it is time to go, you have busted the budget for the day, and there is no time left to eat. You stop at the casino gas station and pop a couple of White Castle mini cheeseburgers into the microwave and eat them while driving or wolf them down in the parking lot. The only good thing is you passed on the gross hot dogs on the rollers just like in the old drive in movie ads between shows. You were tempted though.

 olds, have you been following me? much of what you write sounds familar, except i always take time to eat at the casino. beyond needing to eat, i normally have some free food vouchers or comps and i am determined to get every penny i can get out of the place.

Olds, the drive to local casinos is short. Only one has a gas stations (cheaper to fill up before hand if need be.) In the past, depending on when we start playing VP, we sometimes got caught up playing and wind up not stopping to eat. When we play bingo, not an issue as there is food, time, and place on the table to partake available. In fact, regarding bingo, we often bring a small cooler and snack bag.

 olds, have you been following me? much of what you write sounds familar, except i always take time to eat at the casino. beyond needing to eat, i normally have some free food vouchers or comps and i am determined to get every penny i can get out of the place.

     Ni Notes. Usually real most all of the posts. Luckily, I don't do that (skip casino food) most times. Shame to waste good free stuff. If the Mrs. is with me, dinner is a priority and playing second. I finally got them to offer vegetables in the lounge besides all of the stuff that is bad for us. Only took me about 10 years, but it finally worked. The worst thing though about lounge or buffet food at the casino is the sodium. Thousands of mgs in there I'm sure. We also have some things in common on politics and current goings on. I had to bite my tongue a couple of times on what I wanted to post. Good luck out there and good health. At this stage of the game, that is the most important thing.

     Hi Bill. The gas is paid for with points at the casino station and the food and stuff inside too. Too bad though they hardly credit anything anymore for vp. 300 machines with the best paytables pay no points which are worth a buck each and you have to cycle through about 500 bucks to earn 1 point worth just a dollar in casino money on the machines that do pay points. Since they pulled that stuff about 3 or 4 years ago, I sank from 8k points to less than 700 now. Just not worth chasing the points anymore. They do have other comp formulas though which I won't bore you with here good for lounge access, shows, buffet etc. They expire every month and reset the following month.

  that's why you are smarter than me, you will 'bite your tongue'. i try, but sometimes things are posted i just cannot let go by unchallenged. i have being meaning to wish you good luck, with your attending to those in medical need, in your family. you are a good man.
