Four Winds New Buffalo MI 5/30/15
I got antsy last night and decided to take a drive over to Four Winds in New Buffalo, MI. I set a loss limit of $500.00 and after sitting down at my favorite DreamCard machine I fell into a hole about $400.00 deep. I heard the familiar jackpot music coming from the next row over so I decided to peek aroound the corner to check what happened; a guy was playing keno and hit for a cool $15,000.00. I decided to take my last hundred and try my luck at keno because video poker obviously wasn't happening for me. I was playing for about 20 minutes when up popped: A nice 8 of 9.; only the second time in my life I've ever played video keno. After getting paid off I then decided to go back to my favorite DreamCard machine to see if it felt any better. I was only going to invest $500.00 and see what happened. I hit AWAK on .10 denom and decided to play that $400.00 hit at .25 denom and leave after the $400.00 was gone. A couple minutes into this round I hit: I quickly cashed this out and walked at a quick pace out of Four Winds and drove home. So keno saved me and I actually left with a very nice profit that will go to my August Las Vegas trip. I was wearing Givenchy again last night; left the Jovan Musk home.

Super job. I may have to try it myself since my batting average this year has sunk from a respectable 287 to a new low which is lower than a tired pitcher. Just one example how in the short run even a 90% return table can bail one out. WTG.....edited to change sank to sunk....

Nice work Ted. Four Winds has beaten me up my last couple trips. I go about once a week to use my free play anywhere from $250+ (and hopefully none of mine) The last 2 times I've been there someone has sat next to me and hit a $2 royal for $8k. As I sit and hope for a full house. :( I always sit at the bar machines, maybe I should move.

Thanks. For what it's worth, I've never hit a royal at a denomination bigger than .25. I'm waiting for one (or more) to come when I'm playing at the $2.00 denom.
boozy because I don't play single line I've never played their bartop machines. I'm also thinking that I should take a harder look at keno? That wasn't bad for a .25 bet. The guy who hit the 15k was playing 160 credits a spin, thats $40.00.Too rich for my blood...

With regard to your Keno fortune's future, let me use a film quote. As Terry Benedict told Rusty when he was informed that his Bellagio vault was just robbed, his response to Rusty was "Now, run away and hide".
What's next, Ted - The Big Wheel ?
Now - if you are the Illinois MegaBucks winner....

Well because this was only the second time in my life that I've played video keno I will probably stick to video poker but occasionally dabble in keno. The first time I played it was in Iowa City Iowa and I hit it for 7,600 nickels. That was in 2011. I haven't been on a Big Wheel since the 70's so chances are nill that I'll start now and the MegaMillions jackpot of 260 million was hit in Illinois last night; not too far from where I live. But because I don't play the lottery there is 100 % certainty it wasn't hit by me.

Congratulations Ted on the Four Winds hits. Maybe I'll give keno another small try.

The last 2 times I've been there someone has sat next to me and hit a $2 royal for $8k. As I sit and hope for a full house. :(-----------------------------------------I know the feeling. Sat I was praying for a full house. Meanwhile, the lady to my left won $400 on DDB ($60 of which I'd lost the preceding hr). The gentleman to my right sat down for five minutes and won $1400 on slots. Absolutely fuming!
