Fallen Marines

Post by katipug »

RIP Marines, please stop and say a prayer, or think of these fallen soldiers and there families today. My son is a 30yr Army soldier who is currently recruiting in one of these crap-hole strip malls. They guys can't even defend their selves because they can't carry sidearms. Political correctness has run this county into the ground. Maybe I should get an open carry permit and sit on a lawnchair outside his office to protect him since our Commander in Chief, DOD, Pentagon, can't seem to. Ash Carters biggest worry this week was how to figure out how to let transgenders in the military. I hope he sleeps well tonight Semeper Fi, Marines Kay West, (aka katipug)

best wishes to your son and all the VOLUNTEER MILITARY, who keep us safe. the very least we owe them is the ability to defend themselves.

all the gun murders listed in other post, equals about one half the annual gun murders in chicago alone. one of the most restrictive cities in america regarding gun ownership. most of those murders listed were done by the mentally ill and the killer in SC, would not have been able to buy a gun, without the help of a government employee screw up.

You don't know most were mentally ill because most of them killed themselves after they were done. Here in CO columbine 2 teenage kids they plotted the whole thing months before it happened and when they were done killed themselves. Neither one had any mental illness. Aurora Theater shooting he plotted this for months in great detail they just found him not insane and he proved it. So not sure what your talking about.

i only know what i read. according to an article in the AMERICAN JOURNAL OF PUBLIC HEALTH, 02/2015, and i quote, 'reports suggest that up to 60% of perpetrators of mass shootings, since 1970 displayed symptoms including acute paranoia, delusions, depression before committing their crime'. and while i am no expert on mental illness or the judical system, i am not sure that a jury can determine whether someone has a mental illness. i believe they are determing whether one is sane or not. maybe i should have use the word 'majority', instead of most. just ask yourself this, how could anyone in their right mind, shoot up a movie theatre or a school, full of innocent folks.

And yet we have no laws in this country requiring anyone to get a clean bill of mental health before buying a weapon that can destroy dozens of lives in seconds. As for Charleston, the shooter would not have been able to buy his guns despite the possible human error if the law had been such as to require him to show he had no felony record instead of it being OK to sell him guns after no one could find a record after three days. Month after month, year after year, death after death, and nothing is changed.

Evil exists......I myself believe in almighty God (the god of the hebrew/christian bible, Yahweh or Jehovah, whichever you prefer), his firstborn and only begotten son Jesus Christ, and the heavenly host of angels.   Since I KNOW god exists, and the Bible is his word, I must, therefore, accept that Satan and the Demons also exist...cannot have one and not the other. The bible makes very clear mankind is capable of horrible acts on its own, but it also says the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one (satan & demons)....it also simply says at ecclesiastes chapter 9 that, "time and unforeseen things befall us all"....so there you have it, a lot of bad things can happen from a variety of sources. Some people are nuts or sick and do not really know what they do.....some people are evil ....and sometimes accidents happen or someone is in the wrong place/wrong time.Guns do not kill people, people kill people...but guns do make it easier for some people to kill A LOT OF PEOPLE quickly....carrying around one's own gun is by no means a surefire guarantee of protection but it does give someone POSSIBLY a better chance IF....IF they encounter a certain scenario or situation.   I prefer to just be careful and not deal with any guns myself.....There is no reason for the NRA to oppose background checks, yet they vehemently do, and I have never heard a rational.....RATIONAL explanation as to why;   meanwhile the number of illegal guns grows daily so it really does not matter anymore what anyone does.....No species on earth treats itself and other members of its own species as poorly as mankind does......"Humanity" is a lost quality, and it is obvious, just listen to the news and the people and politicians on it....disgusting, and I mean this the world over, not just the USA.I'd love to address the people of Germany, and northern europe/scandinavia who are putting Greece through the ringer in an idiotic debt scheme that will only perpetuate itself forever until either greece really does say "BYE" or Germany & friends finally allevaiate SOME (not all, SOME) of the debt burden.   I'd like to remind germany of its own past, of how the USA in its kindness GAVE them all that aid after WWII in the Marshall plan......and now they cannot cut 15-20 billion off of greece's debt so the country can actually start to grow again and pay off the rest?    Moronic, idiotic and just plain mean.......of course, I'd also love to tell the Greeks to not be so nonchalant and free with the spending, that SOME of them will have to go with less for a while (not forever but a while), they too are selfish.    It's hopeless, where's the casino...???

DaBurglar in 2013 10,076 people died in drunk driving crashes in the United States. You are also wrong about the NRA vehemently opposing background checks. Geez...

The NRA wants the right people to own guns; they are just as against people: suffering from mental illness; criminals; and the like, from legally owning guns. DaBurglar if people want a gun in Chicago it's as easily available as a lotto ticket and the NRA has nothing to do with it.
