Delayed Trip Report...Busy Working, Busy Winning

At the close of my last post, Sweet J & I were planning a trip to Las Vegas for her birthday in July. We were looking forward to the opportunity to relax and play at leisure as work had been demanding. We must have relaxed a bit too much because the first day and a half I believe we played; however, we had not a single win worth mentioning to prove we were even in Las Vegas. Finally, I closed out the evening of our second day with a small win to remind us that we were in Las Vegas...

I had slept well...too well. While I was sleeping, Sweet J was planning. Planning to start her morning off with a rebuttal Royal Flush...

I wasn't deterred. I saw her Royal Flush and answered with four little deuces and a kicker of my own...

We retired that night and I believed that I would end up with a few more wins than Sweet J on this trip. Comfortable with that thought, I had a second night of sleeping well and getting plenty of rest. Apparently, Sweet J did as well...she awakened with hearts on her mind and soon transferred them to her machine!

So...as it turned out, I wouldn't have more wins than Sweet J at the end of the trip...and that pattern has followed me home. We decided to take an early morning run at L'Auberge Du Lac on the first day of August. Catching up to Sweet J was my goal. She had a different goal and cashed in on this beautiful Royal Flush Progressive (and I had played this machine...I think this was really mine)!

The first day of August resulted in no wins for me but Sweet J was casting a glow...or shade depending on perception. So maybe the first day of the month wasn't the charm...

On Saturday, August 8th, I awakened and decided to give L'Auberge Du Lac an opportunity to redeem themselves and they started off nicely...

...but before I could be paid, out of nowhere, Sweet J sings my name as her the machine plays the music we all love to hear....

I may not be leading in video poker wins over the last four weeks, but I am leading in life wins. I win every time I look over and see Sweet J smiling back at me.

Work has been extremely busy and I finally had the time to squeeze in this trip report and we will squeeze in a Shreveport visit this weekend. I'm going to make another run at catching up to Sweet J.

Congratulations on the great trips and awesome wins you and Sweet J hit. We obviously both found our "Sweets..." which are the royal flushes of our life. We are both truly lucky.
