How would you like it....

Post by jocker »

My wife and I just came back from Vegas last week and stayed at Samstown which we have for the past few years. We enjoy taking their shuttle Downtown and also have stayed at Mainstreet Station a few times. My question to you VP players that travel these same routes, and may not rent a car, is how would you like it, if there was a shuttle from Samstown to Arizona Charlie's and Boulder Station, since their located so close together? Maybe a few good responses might catch the eye of an interested concern! Heck, I would pay a buck a ride and never go to the Strip again!

great idea......but may I direct your attention to the Las Vegas Public Transit Authority/department.....in my estimation and experience, Vegas has one of the BEST public transit systems in the country for a city with only above ground busing.....the Vegas transit really is all about promptness, cleanliness and convenience, and when they designed and developed it over the years, one of the first priorities was making it friendly and useful to all the OUT OF TOWN visitors and tourists who are both on a budget and who are "overwhelmed" by all there is to see and do.....You can essentially get ANYWHERE in VEGAS via Las Vegas Transit once you identify the stops and routes, and know where it is you want to go....and it really is inexpensive (you can get a variety of value-type passes as well as simply pay as you go, all of which are better than cabs, or even free shuttles because shuttles have a lot of issues you cannot get around, not the least of which is inconsistency, rude or inconsiderate customers, and shuttles are always potential choke pints for a lot of people with the same idea going to the same place, thus can be really crowded and with long waits)....Las Vegas Transit is prompt, they have a LOT of buses such that wait time between buses is rarely more than 10 - 15 minutes, if THAT....and they are very strict about not tolerating any bad behavior since their lifeblood depends on it.....!I have never actually traversed the area you are interested so I do not know the actual las vegas transit specifics for those properties but look into it....you may pay even less than the dollar you are willing to shell out!
