Harrahs AC
Went down yesterday for a rare Sunday visit, they were giving away leather coats, [by the looks of the crowds 1000s of them lol]. caught this royal to get even on the day, then decided to think outside the box. It was a non-multiplier day, and I realized that I cannot attain the next level of Diamond by the end of the year, so attaining more tier credits did not come into play. To people familiar with Harrahs AC I went over to section DD to play the 3 9/6 machines there. Tier credits on these machines are $50 for 1 Tier credit but like I said it didn't matter to me. Played my free play cash hit 3 4oak on BP and DP for about $240, cashed out and went to watch football. I never would consider playing these machines because of the coin in requirement for tier credits, but yesterday it didn't matter and it payed off.

VERY VERY Nice hit....did you snap a picture of the leather coat??? I'm very curious as to what it looked like and its quality....? I LIKE your choice of BONUS POKER amongst the offerings of Super (Quad) Draw 5-play.....I would choose this one as well, since you still get nice quad Bonus payouts while at the same time protecting your bankroll with the two pair payouts for Bonus poker.....The paytable on THIS game/machine at Harrahs beats the crap out of the paytables at Ballys & Caesars in AC for this specific game, since the BALLYS version is a disgusting 6-5-4 instead of Harrahs' 8-5-4!!!!!Just asking out of sheer curiosity.........If the Royal brought you up to "EVEN", what game(s) were you previously playing that clobbered you? In all seriousness, what was your approximate DUD rate (how many NON-Paying hands, percentage wise, were you getting before the royal?) Was it more than the 55% expected standard average for a random dealing machine? If you are not already a DIAMOND as you state, I am curious as to how you were offered the coat, since I myself never got such an offer and like you I am just short of diamond (currently I am Platinum, lurking around 8000 for the year....only if I upped my visits to AC and played exclusively at CET properties the rest of the year and made certain to catch the Multiplier days, then i probably would earn the 15000 needed for Diamond for the year....but what's the point? I only have 2 planned visits remaining the rest of the calendar year, although one of them is a LONG one, coming right after my planned Vegas Visit in December) Currently at this modest level (platinum - 8000 tier credits) I get all the necessary offers I want/need for my current desires, namely and MOST important Comp room offers Sunday thru Thursday (Up to 3 nights in a row per 'stay', once a week, 3 times per calendar month ) that give me enough choices and room flexibility to string together enough multi-night stays each month with other offers from other AC Casino properties (mainly Trump, Resorts and the Golden Nugget with an odd Borgata room offer now and then) that allow to stay and visit and play Poker and whatever else I want. The diamond level benefit at Caesars just does not offer me enough TOTAL incentive to go out of my way to get it......if I happened to earn it or it was "Awarded to me" coincidentally, great......

Don't forget that CET has a tier credit daily bonus for achieving certain tier credits earned milestones. I do believe that CET also has another tier credit promotion until the end of the year but I'll have to research my email inbox archives to check this. Tier credits or reward credits is about as different as cows or steers.
Edited to add: Oops, almost forgot; congrats jeter and I bet the jacket looks pretty sharp on you.

I know the difference tier credits and reward credits. Maybe I should have made myself clearer. I'm Diamond at 30,000 tier credits and don't think I can get to 40,000 which is the next level of Diamond. I have over 100,000 reward credits which I am saving to use when my son comes home on leave from the US army. So I took a chance of just playing for cash on the best pay tables available and it payed off. The jacket which I acquired is for one of my nephews is good for what it is, a free leather jacket. The promotion that CZR is currently offering is 50 tier credits for every 500 earned between now and the end of the year to be applied to 2016 tier score, hardly worth it in my mind.

ok sorry for the confusion.....when you said in your original post "I cannot attain the next level of Diamond" i did not read into that you meant "the next level WITHIN DIAMOND", I read it as "the next level WHICH IS DIAMOND" meaning you were sitting somewhere north of platinum. But I am still curious what (and how) you got yourself in the hole that the royal pulled you out of....don't worry, I will NOT interpret any losing game you played as evidence in support of my AC "theory"......I've just seen this play out over and over in AC amongst my friends and family who I often watch or play with while there, a situation/scenario whereby a player gets himself in a HOLE and then spends time trying to extricate himself, except quite often he only goes deeper ....you however succsfully extricated yourself and then pulled ahead in the end. Well done.

Your looking at it. Same game, some times you win some times you lose.

Went down yesterday for a rare Sunday visit, they were giving away leather coats, [by the looks of the crowds 1000s of them lol]-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I was there as well. Did not see any leather jackets lugged around the casino. They were giving away DeLonghi coffee makers in the ballroom. What awesome congestion that created! Did you get in on that bonanza? And was 9/6 for Bonus Poker or JOB? Nice win of course!

If it was 9/6 for Bonus (101.41% in theory), then you might be able to convince Bob to come to AC! I'd would also need a picture to believe it. I assume it was either 9/6 JoB (99.54%) or 9/6 DDB (98.98%).
Nice royal jeter!
And I would be curious to know if your offers change at all because you played the $50 a point games. I would assume those machines gave out poor comps via mailers because the paytable is good.

FAA: the coffee machine give away was on Saturday 10/24, leather coats were on Sunday 10/25.Vman: I think it was 8/5 BP and 9/6 DDB, will check this Thursday an snap a pic. I don't normally play these machines because of the coin in tier credit requirement. What I usually do sometimes is run my free play money through one time at the end of the night to take care of all my tip money. This night I was lucky to get a little more. My offers are terrible because I only play VP. When I win X I stop and when I lose X I stop. Most of us local VP players get terrible offers because they know we are coming once a week. I get a free room [no Saturdays], free buffet and some give a ways. Free play is negligible based on my play but it's a night out and thats all I'm looking for, everything above that is a bonus.
