"She went to the RR" Royal
A funny one occurred this weekend. With a double teaching load this semester and our Houston Cougars winning Sweet C and I have been severely limited in our number of casino runs. And, the law of averages has caught up with us - no major hits the last 6-8 trips. So Sunday morning we decided to make a quick day run to Coushatta. The itch was further exacerbated by our daughter sending pics of her previous nights multiple hand pays on Spin.
Since my normal 50=100 plays have been dead to hits, I decided recently to play more Spin . We both were playing on Sweet C's cards to rebuild her comps/points for top tier when I caught 4/RF and caught 3 Royals on 25¢ Spin for $3,037. Panic I'm playing on her card ... I need to locate her before the pay attendee arrives....panic text ...no response...frantic calls no answer.... the attendee is looking at the machine...looking at me "Ugh....she just went tot the restroom and will be right back is all I could stammer!" Luckily, Sweet C arrived just a few seconds later to take the "G". I razzed her all trip home on getting a "G" while in the bathroom.

Great story and congrats on your hit Double L. Sweet C ALWAYS seems to bail you out just when you need it most.
People around here have been wondering about you because of your absence; glad to see you and Sweet C are still around.

Do many casinos really care if married couples play on the same card? Nice hit!

We've never had a hand pay on the wrong card, but many casinos do allow married couples to group their account points. This is a big help to us as two quarter players look like a much bigger customer. I'm pretty sure this is why we get the offers we do.

My understanding is that the person who hits the jackpot is the person to whom any tax related paperwork should be issued - irrespective of whose card is in the machine.

My understanding as well. In fact, a few years ago, a foreign patron sitting a few seats from me hit a Royal and had someone else's card in. That person was not around and they refused to pay the person sitting at the machine because he had no ID at all....Hmmmmm...I don't know the final result on the payout or not, but the slot attendant also told me the same thing. Whoever is sitting there and hit the button is the one.

I hit a 1$ royal with my wifes card in the machine a few months back. I was nervous about what would happen, but I just told the attendant and she said no problem, we will just use my card and verify with my ID. That was at a Penn property.

But the slot attendant took your player's card number down? I guess to put the W2G data on your player account? Hopefully that didn't trigger a gaming day...unless you triggered one already. But I would trigger a gaming day for a W2G I suppose...
