Unusual Way to get a Royal
I haven't posted in a while, but thought this was an interesting story to share. I was playing TDB Spin Poker and after throwing away 5 rags from the deal, got a dealt royal on the draw. The really unusual thing was that the machine was running very slowly in registering the hand totals, so I actually saw the Royal on the top line for a good 3-4 seconds before the Jackpot window came up. I thought I had seen every VP possibility that there is, but had never gotten a complete royal on the draw. Go figure…

Congrats mugrat, a royal is a royal either via the deal or the draw.

Thanks Ted - you are certainly correct. However, since I play multi-hand games, I'd prefer to get it all on the deal

mugrat I too, play multi-hand games and getting a royal on the deal is like pulling Excalibur from the stone.

Excellent, I will take the outcome despite the machine behavior. Six of the highest ranking club suited cards appeared which is good to see.
I do not really see Spin Poker as a 9 hand game, there is theory that the cards you need to hold have to be in the middle to get optimal results.

Ted - Totally agree. In my many years of playing VP, I have been King Arthur only twice, pulling the rare dealt Royal "sword from the stone". Once in $1 10 play for $40K, and once in quarter 10 play Ultimate X for $24K.

Alpax - Thanks. I look at Spin Poker as a game of 3s with the center line critical. If for example, I was dealt 4 to a royal on the middle line, and then connect for the missing 5th card, I will get 3 Royal Flushes instead of just one. If I were to actually be dealt a royal flush on the middle line, I will get the maximum result of 9 royals, due to all of the row combinations being in play.

Congratulations! At $45 a spin, you need results. Two losing hands would end my day cold.

Congratulations on your good fortune. I couldn't spin one draw knowing it would pay for 9 reg. hands of straight up draw. $1 spin takes luck and a decent bankroll. Glad you drew a winner.
