Every drawn a royal and AWK holding Single A
Between all of us in our lifetime of vp play, has anyone ever held a Single A (in DDB or TDB) and then draw both a RF and AWK? I myself have never done this.

No yet. In 15 years I have had five dealt royals. Last November I hit a royal holding an AK alone playing deuces wild. This runs contrary to strategy, but I didn't feel the need to give it back. All the rest have started with three cards or more.

I have...in a videopoker.com contest. The royal one anyway. I don't think I have done Aces w/kicker (I play DDB/TDB sparingly in casinos)

My first Royal ever was from a one Ace hold on DDB. And I have hit Aces, but not with a kicker.

In a post I made back on August 25, 2015, in which I reported on a Las Vegas trip I took, I posted a picture of my catching AWAK after holding a single ace while playing TDB .25 denomination. I don't recall catching a royal after holding a single ace but I'm not saying that it hasn't ever happened to me.

I have documented the appalling results I have witnessed in Atlantic City since I first started going to that locale in 2009.......in AC, I currently have a ratio (or rate) of hitting Royals somewhere in the once in every 90 to 95k hands (about half what it should be assuming you play primarily 52 card deck games whereby you can expect a Royal every 45,000 hands or so)......however I have been dealt a total of three Royals in AC in the past 7 years. In Las vegas (and Reno), between the years 1995 (when I first began really keeping track of my detailed specific results in playing Video Poker) through 2006/2007, when I moved back home to New England from the west coast, my rate of hitting Royals was closer to normal, about once every 55,000 hands. But the frequency of DEALT royals was very rare....I only documented a total of FOUR dealt royals in the 11 plus years of playing and keeping track of things. It's quite possible I missed one or two, but not more than that.As for Aces with a cooker, I have no clue.....I actually rarely played DDB in Vegas prior to coming to AC, and since coming to AC the number of times I have hit Aces with anything is pretty rare overall, again contributing to my putrid overall results in AC, especially when compared and contrasted with Las vegas & Reno. And TDB is a game I only play on Dreamcard using free or bonus play credits, a RARE event indeed

Three dealt RFs in seven years is pretty damn cool! I was graciously gifted two dealt quads yesterday. I considered that event a minor miracle. I collected quads on all four machines played.

DaBurglar I believe the original poster asked if anyone got a royal or AWAK on the draw after holding a single ace. You didn't mention any of this in your post.

Threads go off track with metronomic regularity. What else is new?

I’m a firm believer that even if you are the most skilled recreational VP player, luck is ultimately the deciding factor as to ones results. This topic, and my entire “career†playing VP epitomizes this belief. In the 10 years I have played VP in casinos I have hit three (maybe 4) royals holding a solitary ace and one royal holding a solitary queen. I have also hit a wheel straight flush holding a lone ace. Meanwhile despite being dealt four to a royal hundreds of times, I have only hit one royal flush 5 or 6 years ago. As an aside, in playing single hand DDB, which I have played 99+% of the time, I (nor my wife) have had a royal of any kind during this time span in Vegas despite 1-2 trips a year. On the other hand, I have hit a cruise ship royal with extremely limited play (perhaps a total of around 500 hands). Never hit AWAK holding a solitary ace. Never been dealt a royal.
