Golden Nugget workers will NOT be part of Strike!

Apparently the clueless, corrupt and hypocritical leadership of the AC Union (known primarily as "local 54") is planning another Strike at multiple AC properties  over this coming long, BUSY July 4th weekend!    However, I received an E-mail from Golden Nugget-AC which emphatically (and proudly) stated that THEY would NOT be impacted by the strike, that their workers are not striking and therefore, the GOLDEN NUGGET-AC  will be operating at full swing, without any problems or hindrance this coming July 4th weekend!     July 4th  is always a HUGE deal in AC (perhaps their Biggest weekend of the year, definitely of the Summer, along with Labor Day weekend,)Anyone know or heard more about this upcoming crisis in AC?Despite what others on this site maintain, I am not a Liberal, especially when it comes to LABOR relations and rights and benefits......the truth is, in the USA,  Unions have over the course of history, done as much HARM in many industries as they have GOOD.     You almost need to examine each specific union individually, one by one (even different chapters of the SAME Union in the SAME Industry, in some cases, have different records of  "Benefit  vs.  Harm" analysis...)Local 54 in AC, is P.O.'d because there is a lot of effort by casino owners to slash or eliminate long standing benefits like Retiree Health and Pensions (notably Mr. Icahn and his handling of both the Tropicana Success story, and the Taj Mahal, which has yet to truly see major changes or benefits from Icahn but is finally starting to, has been able to accomplish what he has BECAUSE he received some favorable court rulings regarding these issues.)The Union, which is headed by some questionable people, naturally opposes ANY cuts or changes to these long standing programs, which sadly like so many other retiree and pension arrangements is way out of touch with the current reality and represents huge costs, unsustainable costs!      The unreasonableness of the Local 54 leadership has wrought tremendous havoc on the very people they claim to represent too!      And please note, I am NOT advocating on behalf of Billionaires like Carl Icahn here......as with EVERY issue facing this country, in congress and in states, you have two opposing sides:   COMPROMISE is needed, is essential, for long term success and real progress.   NO side is 100% correct, and NO side deserves, or will get, entirely everything it wants!

Ted, I am glad your anger and hate is out on open display now......it means I do not have to bother anymore replying to your seething, pointless, stupid posts......Ask yourself this:   What exactly is it that you really truly despise about me?What is it you want me to do?And then post it, and maybe, just maybe, you might finally get something you want or see something done that actually results in something constructive.If I am in the wrong or doing something TRULY wrong, I will freely admit it and change.....but just because YOU happen to not like me for your own personal reasons is not such a "thing";    Just because you are frustrated because I can out argue and out debate you, and I am impervious to your petty childish potshots, is NOT what I am talking about here.And stop, just STOP with the silly posts about obvious simple spelling and math errors and typos and missed grammatical elements, etc.   You did this once before and if you recall it backfired on you badly, not to mention its totally a waste of everyone's time.

One more thing:JUST WHERE EXACTLY are these other Threads you speak of...?   I freely admit (again) I have not seen them, and I made a couple (Brief) attempts to find them........and since you insist they not only exist but are somehow "OBVIOUS" enough that you seek to "Shame" me for missing them, please provide specifics ( a link would be best.)

The "Atlantic City" forum is where "discussion about gambling in Atlantic City" takes place, pretty much the forum where this thread should have originated.
