everywhere cant be as bad as mohegan sun
went to Mohegan sun sunday and sat down at 25 cent 8/6 bonus poker deluxe upright in wind casino..played single line 1 credit per punch.thats 800 total credits.was meeting friends later that day for dinner and figured I could go for many hours on 1 credit single line... results are as follows: 4 of a kind-ZERO...full house-9...flush-11...straights-6...dealt 3 of a kind-16....redraw same card tossed on single card draw(32 chances...9 same card pulls)...now im not a math wizard so I cant figure out the real payback on this but there is one thing I do know..this particular machine may be on a rng chip but it sure aint "random"..i asked 5 or 6 other players(all single line)how many 4 of a kinds they hit and all but 1 said ZERO..love to hear from players in other markets if they have experienced similar results in their market..to anyone thinking of visiting Mohegan..come for the hotel;the shows;the food...but stay away from the VP.

I have posted many times about my dismal results also playing 3 times a week at Mohegan. No matter how many 99 percent games I play with over a million hands a year, I end up with a 95 percent total return with nearly perfect play. This has been going on at least since 2011. Prior to that, I would play 96-98 percent games and end up with the same 96-98 percent returns. I am up to nearly 800k hands now without a Royal and have had several runs of over 500k hands without a single Royal. If someone had tracked all of my play exactly, I'm pretty sure some sort of action or investigation would have been done, but who knows. I have enough credit there now so I can stay there which is really a beautiful place to stay at and play over at Foxwoods. Their vp odds are lower than Mohegan, but I have never had such bad results there. I have not played there in three years or so, but I am going to give them another shot.
Regarding your own play and the others you asked, unfortunately your sample is just too small to draw any conclusions from. I think my sample is big enough and believe me I wish it wasn't. I do see people hitting good hands at Mohegan, but I have no way of knowing if their results are within acceptable variances. Most everyone you ask will say they lose and lose a lot playing vp at Mohegan Sun. Concrete proof, I don't have it. If I had access to all players results for billions of hands, we would have the proof one way or the other. We will never get access to that information. Their published results lump slot play in with vp play and are in the 91 percent range for a quarter game. Unfortunately, that tells us nothing about the player returns for just vp. You also have to account for player errors which in general are widespread. My gut feeling is this.....the 99 percent games return 95 percent long term. Player errors account for another 3 or 4 percent putting the total player return in the 91 percent range. It is very important to remember that that this is my opinion only. I have no concrete proof of any of it and my opinion is only based on what I have posted above.

I've had pretty good luck at Seminole Coconut Creek in FL. Hit super times pay for $3000.00. Got dealt 4 aces and a 3.

46, you also learned the hard way. VP is simply unplayable in many venues, including half of Atlantic City. I have made my peace with the state of things. Fortunately, that still leaves me with four decent options. I once considered a trip to MS. But after all the poor reports, I have taken heed. The Sun can rise and set without us. Olds has been victimized for at least five years and is finally taking leave of the otherwise lovely establishment.

olds..congrats on your hit..right place/right time...I was sagamore status 2008-2012 so I played a lot of vp at Mohegan..the machines changed drastically around new year 2011 when they removed points from many of the machines and changed the rng chips in all the machines .up to that point my results were about what could be expected based on paytables.i actually was positive for 2 of those 5 years(2008 and 2010).you could expect some "bang for your buck".i made the mistake of continuing my pace of play thru 2011 and 2012.needless to say my vp losses nearly doubled for those 2 years.if not for 2 lucky slot hits it would have been ugly.since end 2012 I now go only once or twice a month flipping between Mohegan and foxwood.i now go w/no expectations or illusions of what to expect.i bring a limited bankroll. I don't bother w/players card at Mohegan but do use one at foxwood.even tho paytables at foxwood are not as good as Mohegan the quads do appear more often at foxwood for me.i do hope the royal percentages catch up with you.you certainly have put in the time and hands

We are going to be in AC in September. Where would you consider playing VP for best fair chance of having a decent trip? Hoping Caesar's or Bally's are on the list of the half that is playable because we will be staying at Caesar's. Please advise.

If you think about playing in most Indian casino, punch yourself in the nuts and set fire to half your money. You'll end up with better results.

Mr. Dancer plays at an Indian casino as one destination, Viejas. He raved about that their high limit VP is better than Vegas casinos. This was a few months back and not sure about now as WynnCore has beefed up their high limit games.
Besides Buffilita and Mr. Dancer, I do not know who else here is comfortable playing for high stakes.
EDIT: did not read the "most" part, my bad

I changed it to most. Grosjean evidently plays in a few,as well.
I hope they have success playing. Lots of APs have won serious coin only to encounter difficulties when trying to collect.
A friend once told me a story about how his car mysteriously disappeared while he was delayed at the cashiers and he was forced to show id. He returned to the spot where his car had been to find fresh blue paint and a sign saying handicap parking only, $2500 fine for violators.
Of course a year or two later, I read almost the exact same story in another players book so it may well be urban legend.

I've been to a couple of Indian casinos and I was told they had class III vp, I know I saw the IGT logo. Now why would an Indian casino treat their customers any different than any other casino. What's the line the true believers swear by, "why would they".
