Taj Mahal during the Strike
I am currently planning another 6-7 day excursion to AC. starting July 20 thru July 26/27......at least four of those days I am slated to stay at Trump taj mahal.Has Anyone been there during the strike? I have heard that Taj management has put together a fairly effective replacement crew made up of middle managers and even a few retirees who have decided to get back in the trenches and do the jobs of all the striking pawns who are outside waving painted sticks at the sky.My Questions are what is the level of function at the Taj right now? How many rooms are open? are BOTH towers still open or are they limiting guests to the main tower only and have closed the Chairman tower???What is the situation with the restaurants? Most important, the casino: Is the casino still staffed (ie do you end up waiting an hour for a handpay?)Anyone? Anyone? ANyone? Bueller Bueller Bueller??

I am going this weekend. They brought in cocktails servers housekeepers etc from what my host tells me. I think Plate and Signature club is closed but everything else is open (room service may still be closed). They are delaying the opening of the Sultans Feast, I don't know till when.

Today at 5pm the UNION rejected the latest OFFER from the TAJ Management to restore health BENEFITS.That is what this who thing is about, health benefits! As I have said many times already, the cost of health care in the USA is the most absurd, and corrosive force undermining the economy and society by FAR.

The picket show continues. Considering the minor miracle that the casino has remained open, labor needs to throw in the towel.

I recommend heavy sun screen and light colored clothing given this weekend's forecast.

I will be going to AC next week. Staying at Borgata but my favorite place to gamble has always been taj. I would never cross a picket line. Have a union background. Those people work very hard and get paid almost nothing Plus no health benefits no pension. Maybe we are luckier than they are but I do respect their right to strike and the picket line. I will not be playing there next week
