is respect for each other that hard.....

Post by beaglelover »

I don't chat, but I have seen for months nasty conversations surrounding politics and religion, and other things and they've become distressing.  We are EACH entitled to our opinions, without fear of being taunted, called names or being subjected to a jack off who thinks THEIR opinion is the only one that matters.  All our opinions count and we all matter. Our world is as ****ed up as a can of worms and I fear it's not terrorism, psycho's etc., it is that we, as one race, the human race, at some point in time have just stopped seeing and/or caring about our humanity and what we all have in common.  We have more in common than not.  My point is the ****ting on others' opinions is a huge part of the problem.  Share your opinions, have debates, but for ****s sake, be nice to each other.  I think I can safely say, for many players, we come here to relax, maybe join in a conversation or play a challenge.  I can assure you no one wants to read the snot slinging bull **** that makes it way to chat.  No one comes here to be ridiculed for their thoughts or perceptions.  I'm not normally a *****, but it's everywhere and it's out of control.  So, to those assholes that I mentioned above, if you think your opinion is all that matters, if you CANNOT accept peoples' differences then for those of us that respect all others, STFU!

interesting, someone starts a thread dealing with respect, then proceeds to use more foul language in one post than I have used in all my posts put together.

I didn't get beyond the first paragraph so I never noticed the bad words. Shame on you. Get that up and no participation trophy for you.

I cannot accept someone differences, but would never tell anyone on this site to STFU. I may never accept them but I sure want to hear them.

interesting, someone starts a thread dealing with respect, then proceeds to use more foul language in one post than I have used in all my posts put together. Can we just cease with this ridiculous nitpicking about "language" and "namecalling"??   It's pathetic....I am not proud nor do I encourage "swearing" or profanity, but like everyone these days trying to get THEIR points and voice heard over the stupidity and nonsense being blared out by the masses and the media, we sometimes feel the need to just let loose with choice words, mainly to convey emphasis or emotion......on a forum like this, with its limited ability to convey such subtle nuances, using Profanity sometimes seems even necessary. One does not need to see or read or hear "profanity" in certain people's posts to get the sense of hostility, intolerance and hatred that is the underlying message or point behind their words......can we just agree that, since the websites built-in "CENSOR" blocks actual "naughty" words from being exposed that we can cease talking about this pointless issue?I mean, we all are CASINO players and gamblers for crying out loud....it seems ridiculous and preposterous that some of us are going to whine about "profanity" that does not even get displayed.     C'mon.......

This censor does not exist on the forum at least it did not when I got a time out from the forum. I am sure my buddy Phil in Florida remembers.

If you can't get your point across without the need for profanity or CAPS, perhaps it's because your point was weak to begin with.
