Secret comp at South Point.
According to the club brochure, you earn $3 for every 1,000 points, but did you know if you earn 1200 points in a day you can ask any slot attendant for a FREE pack of cigarettes. I'm not a smoker, but know plenty of folks who are.
The person I spoke to told me they have done this for years, but don't promote it. They don't deduct points or comps from your account, as per the attendant.

I've heard this about some casinos. Was told every fifty dollars lost gets you a free pack or carton, something like that. Didn't believe them, didn't ask.

Cartons can be $50 or more in stores depending on location/brand. I assume they meant pack. When I see cigs for sale in casinos, they are usually about $10/pack, iirc.
Smoking is one habit I am glad I'm not into. Drinking and gambling are definitely enough for me.

So getting a free pack is worth at least $5. How hard can it be to sell a highly addictive product for half retail?

I'm going to be visiting the South Point in April as they are hosting the USBC National Bowling tournament. Is this really true? Several people on my team are smokers and will be very excited to hear this. Thanks for the tip!
