probably nobody will believe this

Back earlier this evening from a bizarre wild yet good trip to Mohegan Sun. I played a little single line or 3 line DDS, but mostly quarter and dollar spin poker with either 3 or 5 lines played at t time weighted about 60/40 to 3 line play. Played lots of hours. About 14 between last night and this afternoon. Here are the results of the really good hands that were hit. By the way, all games were either regular deuces wild or bonus deuces wild. Quad deuces 8 times. One of the hits was with the ace as a kicker on Bonus DW. 5 Aces hit 5 times on bonus deuces wild. one Royal finally hit on fifty cent single line DW with ten bet. That one resulted in my second hand pay for the session of 2 grand. The other hand pay was on a big dollar quad deuces hit on a dollar game. I saved the Royal hit since it had been nearly 700k hands again without one. I was dealt 4 clubs, needed the Ace and got it on the draw. I have the pic and may send it to Phil tomorrow. The bottom line is I walked away with over 4 grand in my pocket profit from this session. Very very rare event to win that much. I did goof up near the end and played some joker kings and hit nothing big. I was actually ahead close to 5k until I played the joker kings. Good timing anyway. Now the trick is to hang on to it as tax season is upon us and whomever lives in CT and has hand pays will get clobbered on their State return.

WTG olds on a very nice run! Will not doubt good things happening to good folks! As many people here have said, days like this is the reason we play!

Since the jackpots were hit on the 2017 calendar year, you will have to worry about them when you file them before April 2018. Try to set aside the 5% state tax somewhere safe so that you do not spend it until you have to surrender it to the state.

Keep the good wins coming!

Great trip olds and the royal-less streak has been broken. First the Cubs win the World Series and now you hit a royal. Congrats.

Thanks gang for the well wishes. Funny Ted and you will see this if Phil posts the pic of the Royal. The Cubs win ( still thinking about ol Ernie Banks from my day ) and then the clubs win. Drop the letter l from my royal and you have a cubs win again. I needed the Ace of clubs and pulled it.

I'm a bit confused, though, by your comment about goofing up near the end. Why was playing joker kings goofing up?

I do like to play Joker Kings once in awhile especially if the paytable is over 98% which it is on some of the Mohegan machines. The goof up part was allowing myself to give back 20% of my winnings or a grand. I should have budgeted at most 500 to finish playing with or better yet just pack it in for the day. I can count on one hand the trips I was ahead more than 1k last year at the end of the day. Just need to know when to fold them that's all. I do like the game though, but not joker 2 pair. It would be awful to hit a royal that only pays 100 for one even though the 5 of a kind pays 800 for 1. Happy New Year by the way.
