United States Marine Corps Birthday
Lest you brain addled Jarheads forget, the United States Marine Corps will be celebrating it's 242nd birthday on Friday. That goes out to all you Corpsmen and Doc's as well.
Here's a link for a video put out by a local entrepreneur named Bob Parsons I think you'll appreciate.

He started Go Daddy some years back. He now owns the best Harley Store in the Southwest.

If the Army and the Navy
Ever look on Heaven's scenes,
They will find the streets are guarded
By United States Marines.
That verse always bothered me as a kid. Not sure why, but it did.
My Dad spent almost thirty years in the Army, but enlisted in The Corp in 1943, changing his birth certificate to make him 18 as his Father wouldn't let him join.
Of all the Medals and awards he wore, I believe he was most proud of his Red diamond Fourth Marine Division patch on his left shoulder.
HBD to the Proud and the Few.
The hero's of Belleau Woods, of Iwo and The Frozen Chosin. Of Khe Shan, Beirut and Fallujah.
Long May You Run.

He was born on Parris Island,
The place where God forgot.
The sand is eighteen inches deep,
The sun is blazing hot.
He gets up every morning,
Before the rising sun.
He’ll run a hundred miles and more,
Before the day is done.
And when he gets to heaven,
St. Peter he will tell,
Another Marine reporting, sir,
I’ve served my time in Hell.

You need to actually read the Bible and learn about Jesus Christ and his followers....turn the other cheek, love your enemies etc.

How about this marine, and his fellow defendants? Does he get included in your adulation?

I take Marines like I take everyone else, one at a time.... I know some incredible fantastic Marines, and a few total a-holes, but simply being a member of a group or designation means zilch. To think or believe otherwise is unamerican....
