Pinnacle bought by Penn National Gaming
It was reported today that Pinnacle Entertainment is being acquired by Penn National Gaming. In my local area Pinnacle operates Ameristar in East Chicago, IN.
To get around certain restrictions governing the number of gaming licenses one company can own in some states, some of the Pinnacle properties (namely Belterra in Florence, IN) are also being sold to Boyd Gaming. Boyd will also purchase Ameristar Kansas City, Ameristar St. Charles (near St. Louyis), and Belterra Park in Ohio.

Huge benefit for Boyd. Top grossing casino in Missouri and the fourth highest grossing (of 13 total) plus the two Belterras for $575M...that's a steal for them, imo. I'm not sure about how much this will benefit Penn.
