Stacy Keach Jr. in Caribe. One of the worst acting jobs on one of the worst shows ever.

I was actually thinking about Barnaby Jones but he didn't make the cut.
My other dillema was Spencer: Robert Urich or Joe Mantegna? Obviously Urich but Mantegna did o.k. in the couple movies he appeared in.
I could have also thrown in: Tom Selleck as Jesse Stone. Jesse Stone might have led to Lt. Mike Stone in Streets of San Francisco but I only had private dicks in this list and not police.

Jim Rockford wins my vintage private dick category.
Dan Tana takes place, if he is eligible.
Hawaiian Eye was one of my Dads favorite when I was young. Not sure if they were first run or syndicates.

Geez how could I have forgotten Dan Tanna and his secretary "Belle." I remember the first few episodes had Tony Curtis playing the casino owner that Dan Tanna worked for.

Remember I was disappointed when I found out that Jennifer Garner was not James Garner's daughter.
