I posted in mid May about my successful trip to the Mississippi Gulf Coast, a net win of $8,758 during 10 casino visits. 7 of the visits were losers but 3 were winners, pushing me well over the top.
I returned to the coast for a very fast two-day trip June 13-14 for a closing. On June 13 I returned to the scene of my May crime and within 30 minutes I had lost $425. Stupidly, and against all of my rules, I put another $100 in, and quickly lost it also. So I was down $525 in no time flat, and it was obvious to me that the posts on this forum about my extreme good luck in May were indeed correct.
In the morning (June 14) I had some time before I had to leave for the N.O. airport, and I thought, what the heck, I'm here, give it a shot.
Just as quickly as I had lost the night before, I started a run that, when it ended, was my best casino run ever.
Below I have repeated my totals from the May Mississippi coast visit, and under that are my new totals for the June 13-14 Mississippi coast visit. Obviously, the June victory was hugely enhanced by a very lucky $5 aces with a kicker on DDB holding only 1 ace, but the fact remains that in two months worth of 12 unique casino visits, the coast remains wildly profitable for me. Never look a gift horse in the eye and all of that!!!
May 15-20, 2018
1. + $7,300
2. - $500
3. + $1,900
4. - $700
5. - $700
6. - $700
7. - $420
8. - $400
9. - $700
10. + $3,678
TOTAL +8,758
June 13-14, 2018
1. -$525
2. +15,266
TOTAL +14,741
May net + June net = $23,499
As I wrote on this board in May, I usually have 1 or 2 winning sessions and the rest are all losers. With the updated June totals, I am now looking at 8 losing sessions and 4 winning sessions for May-June 2018.
Logic tells me it is now the time to quit VP for all time! My heart says keep going! LOL

That's a great run. Congratulations! I'm sure the State of Mississippi loves you. The 3% State tax you paid will help them to pay their bills. We've been playing in Biloxi for years and we love the place too. My advice is to go back next time and bet as small as you can stand. The best way to play VP in Mississippi is to enjoy their hospitality and keep your big bills in your wallet. You will most likely ignore my advice and that's understandable. If you continue to play big in Biloxi, you will give all your profits back and more. You have been struck by VP lightning and I know how that feels. I fear you will continue as you have, only next time it won't feel so great. Believe me, I know.

Phil, I cannot return to the coast until this fall, at the very earliest. That gives me plenty of cooling off time and perhaps reason and caution will set in by then. Or perhaps not.....

We enjoy the Mississippi coast. We used to be regulars at the Beau Rivage and can still get free plane flights and rooms whenever we want. We were last there for my birthday in February. Like most places the VP odds have dropped over the years. I can remember when you could find 9/6 Jacks easily. Those days are gone. If you haven't been there, a drive down the Beach to the Silver Slipper is worth the time. It's in Bay St Louis about 30 minutes from Biloxi. There are lots of great seafood restaurants along the way and the Gulf is beautiful. Stop by the island View casino on the way. The bar in the back has decent VP. There are so many places that have gambling now, it's hard to pick a favorite. If great odds are your only thing, Vegas is the way to go. We enjoy the scenery and travel more than the games, so we don't care too much about the odds. We play small to keep the cost down. Good Luck!

Those of you who visit the Mississippi casinos may be interested to know that Island View has a new casino and hotel opening on the beachside tomorrow. It will be totally non smoking and the two casinos combined will give them the largest gaming floor on the coast.
