Here's the real reason for separating kids from pa
It's all about MONEY, government contracts specifically, to hold and house the illegals.
https://www.yahoo.com/news/businesses-m ... 06551.html
Why don't we just send these illegals back instead of arrest and/or detention for extended periods of time?? What's the long term plan for these people if we don't immediately send them back??

Would you have made this same post if previous administrations ENFORCED a law that was already in place? Money would have still been made regardless of who is in charge at the time.
I am in agreement with you that illegals should be speedily sent back to their native land but please don't post something 6 months from now crying about the cost of sending deportees back and who is making that money.

Agree with Ted. A manufactured crisis. Russia collusion didn't work, obstruction of justice isn't working, Stormy Daniels didn't work, (BTW, whatever happened to Michael Avanatti?). David Hogg won't work. What's next? The media are playing right into Trump's hands and they don't know it.This latest "crisis on the border" won't work either once the facts come out. My brother, who is a Methodist minister was once as anti-Trump as anyone. He now sees him as a sympathetic victim of extreme political bias.

I agree there is extreme BIAS against Trump. Of course, I understand he brings quite a bit of it on himself because he is just such a colossal A-hole and seems to relish that fact.....But yes, it is true, these liberal idiots are playing right into his wheelhouse with these tactics.

It's interesting how little the coverage was given by the major networks to the nasty and vile tweets sent out by Peter Fonda yesterday.
And I'm hopeful that even DaBurglar would agree that those who are comparing the seperation of children from their families to Nazi Death camps are way off base.

Yep, this will backfire on the media. Trump's new executive order will keep families together all right, but now the kids will be detained with their family members longer than 20 days.

Peter Fonda is NOT someone who anyone should put much stock into what utterances come forth from his mouth or computer....unlike his sister Jane (who obviously has her own annoying issues), Peter's life has been a mess Obviously Peter Fonda allowed his emotional Anti-Trump impulses to override his good sense, but then again there is a LOT of that type of behavior going around, starting with the current President/Tweeter-in-chief who regularly (and seemingly joyfully) tweets things that he obviously should not or that are not true. In today's society in general and in the media at large, there is no longer any acceptable levels of decorum or civility or respect; no standard of truthfulness or integrity which guides ALL sides in their conduct and ideals.....and no reasonableness or willingness to compromise on ANYTHING.2) "Nazi Death Camps".....invoking the history of the Holocaust, and attempting to compare ANY current or recent scenario, situation or entity to Auschwitz or Treblinka is an absurdly irresponsible, pointless EMOTIONAL exercise that either diminishes the real holocaust or inaccurately and unfairly criticizes the thing being compared to the death camp. Now, full disclosure, I have no idea what the SPECIFIC thing is that Ted is referring to (i.e. WHO made such a comparison, WHAT EXACTLY was said to whom and in response to what?, etc.) but yes, as things stand right now as I understand them, the current UNDER-18 detention camps/centers being utilized to store the children caught illegally entering the are NOT the equivalent of Nazi crimes against humanity. The current "Liberal/Anti-conservative" forces out there who despise Trump have been calling him a Nazi or accusing him and his administration/style of doing things/culture of having Nazi-like characteristics. In this more general, more nuanced sense there is some validity. Trump is Autocratic, totalitarian, Tyrannical and intolerant.... he is a divider (as opposed to a unifier) type of leader, who NEEDS a external enemy to both focus and distract his opponents and society in general. In this sense he bears similarity to a demagogue dictator like Hitler, Stalin or Il Duce (Mussolini)....and ironically, North Korea's Kim and Russia's Vladimir. Given enough time and given enough "rope" to embroil himself in further acts of division and dishonesty, Trump could be seen leading the AMerican Political scene down a path very similar to what gave rise to the Nazis from 1929 thru 1933 in the formerly DEMOCRATIC German Weimar Republic!

Do I dare compare Peter Fonda's "Anti-Trump Impulses" to DaBurglars?
