So, I hear over and over that VP is controlled by a RNG.  That may be true to some extent,but I am at the conclusion that something happened over the last 5 years or so thatchanged things dramatically in the VP arena.It used to be that me and the wife would hit royals on a consistent basis...at least two a month playing .25c DDBP.   Now?  One royal over a period of a year....and it was dealt to me. (funny the only two royals dealt to me have been on Deuces Wild machines).I know, you will probably ignore my theory and call me a conspiracy nut,  but I know other people with the same opinionAnd don't waste time trying to convince me otherwise.  I am giving up on VP.   Maybe try harder to win something here.  Although I have found if something big isn't dealt to you in the contests, fergitaboutit.....

I've found Dancing Drums is a fun game, with decent returns when doing free play anywhere except the Fort.
The old IGTs at the Fort still give the most bang for the buck.

[quote=ravi]I know, you will probably ignore my theory and call me a conspiracy nut,  but I know other people with the same opinion And don't waste time trying to convince me otherwise.  [/quote]I won't waste your time.   This issue has been discussed many many times on this forum.  Many forum members agree with you.  Personally, I do not think the machines are rigged.   What you are observing is the effect of dropping odds and higher variance games.   Since 2008, VP odds have dropped all across the country.  Lower odds means less hands played with the same money.   This busts more players and discourages others.   I am in the second camp.Long Royals Flush droughts are normal.   We have had members report hitting no royals in ten years of single line play.   I play a lot of VP for a Recreational player and I have gone as long as two years without one.  This year I have hit five so far.  There is no conspiracy here, that's just VP.If you truly believe the machines are rigged, you have a number of choices.  You can quit the game like you suggest.  You can do what I do and play for close to nothing or you can accept it as the cost of playing the game.  It's totally up to you.  Good luck with whatever choice you make.

I agree with Phil. Years back when I started playing Mount Airy had 10/6 DDB. I could play for hours without busting then. So naturally I hit more Royals, AWAKS and 2's through 4's W/K. I also had no problem climbing to top players club tier and earning more comps. All because I stayed in the game longer with 10/6. I believe it was 2012 when they put in the live table games and that was when they dropped pay tables on all VP. The best DDB is now 9/6 @ $1. They also would not allow FP to be played on VP any longer. The only reason I could think of besides greed was because the table's took up so much floor space reducing there slot revenue so they had to make it up somewhere. Anyhow, now I hardly ever hit the good ones it seems. I bust my BR too quickly and I rarely make top tier anymore.

I honestly think casino VP is on it's way out.  VP odds keep dropping, machines are leaving or being replaced with "Sex In the City" slots and comps are practically worthless.    Why even play VP?    If I ever go back it will be because my wife wants to.  I'll play 25 cents a hand, drink a lot of coffee and take a lot of bathroom breaks.   A $62.50 royal flush is better than having the casino in my pockets all the time.   Sooner or later everyone will quit playing and they can turn the casino into senior housing.

VP may have a classical music and opera problem. The clientele is headed for the big casino in the sky. Newer generations are largely indifferent. I enjoy the AC environment. Unfortunately for them, I plan on enjoying it more as I slash my play by 90%. The casino cannot get in my pocket on such limited play. My losses come in hours two and three. Solution? Eliminate hours two and three.

Here are the choices.  You can accept losses as part of the game.    You can reduce those losses by playing less, playing smaller, or playing slower.   You can avoid all of these by doing something else with your free time.  The choice is up to you.
