We were on Royal Caribbean’s Oasis of the Seas. We were waiting to go ashore to their private Island Coco Cay. The line was so long to exit the ship so my wife and I decided to just go up one floor to the casino to wait for the line to get smaller. Of course, while we were at the casino and waiting we decided to put a few dollars in the slot machine. I sat down at the video poker machine and my wife was a few aisles over on the slots. I was playing Ultimate X Jacks or Better. I wasn’t having much luck and had run out of money since we were going ashore and I had only brought $30 in cash with me. However I had a 7x’s multiplier on the board and hated to leave that. So, I tracked my wife down to borrow some money to finish the hand. She also didn’t have any cash but did have over $100.00 in credit in her machine. She wasn’t thrilled to have to cash that out to give me $30.00 more to finish out my 7 times multiplier. But being a great wife for the past 45 years she obliged. Well, I didn’t hit big on the next spin but about three spins later hit the Royal Flush with 3 times multiplier for over $3,000.00. I will be forever indebted to her for loaning me that $30.00.
