Anyone hazard a guess about casino re-boot time frame when compared to other elements of the economy?
Large groups, close proximity, and an already unhealthy environment. :ouch:
My guess is, slightly above filled sports stadiums, but not far up the list.
Am hoping Soaring Eagle don't blow up my 16 ticket comp to see the Doobie Bros. in Aug!

The way things are going we might never see normal again.

The question involved casinos.
Casinos will likely be one the last things to reopen. Some places might try summer. But fall could be more realistic. But may have to reclose over further outbreaks.

Wildman49, I am afraid concerts pose a whole different set of issues. I do not know how you could safely pack concertgoers into a concert venue at this time. To do so would be taking an unnecessary chance with no vaccine available in the near future. We were supposed to see Shania Twain when we go to Vegas in August. Even if the casinos are open I doubt her concert will go on as planned. Also this Summer we had planned to go to Tahoe and among other things take in a concert at Harvey's outdoor concert venue. Even though these are outdoor, I would not be surprised if this whole years outdoor Summer concert series is cancelled.

BTW we saw the Doobie Brothers a year or two ago. They still put on a great show. I hope you get to go.

Sounds about right. Wonder if Indian casinos will try the sovereign nation thing?

The Florida Hard Rocks were some of the last casinos to close. The tribes vowed to remain open. The employees threatened to sue due to health concerns. They closed shortly there after. I expect they will be among the first to reopen.

I agree with this. They run by their own set of rules.

It was widely reported on Chicago news broadcasts tonight that a good portion of KN95 masks that Illinois Governor J Billionaire Pritzker made a big splash about purchasing in China are --- counterfeit.

Many of these were distributed to police departments across the state and the masks are now set aside. I would bet that these may end up being auctioned off on a state run auction site a year or two from now.

I think one of the problem these venues will have is getting liability insurance whether it is a concert or a casino. They already have to make sure things are safe and up to code. How can they safely meet whatever guidelines they now have?

i just received a survey from tampa hard rock, on what i would expect/demand from a casino, if they were to reopen. obviously sent it to thousands of players.

i am guessing they are pondering reopening.
