Re: RNG Questions
I too, read through most of the complaints as listed by Sea Lion and I didn't see evidence of RNG tampering on video poker machines, or for that matter: very much evidence of tampering with gaming machines in general.
I did find:
Something about a pond being built and the habitat of the "California Red-legged frog"
Cash on hand deficiencies
Use of a rubber band to secure the top of a coin bag
Drugs and alleged prostitution in a nightclub
Missing currency counter machine interface reports
The cost for prizes in the "Lei-A-Day" drawing were not booked into the general ledger
The proceeds from a performance of the "Red Skelton Tribute Show" were not documented and signed off on by an employee
The President of The Sands tried to purchase a Chinese Professional Basketball team
A casino failed to perform a credit check on a patron prior to issuing a $10,000.00 marker
Evidence of gang activity at a stand alone nightclub
All in all, just another episode of "TMZ".....

^^ Absolutely!!, VP style. Someone has to ruffle up the feathers (and flippers) around here!!
And your post in FAA thread about PMA (positive mental attitude) is spot on. My wife continually reminds me of this before we begin a "fishing" session, and one would be amazed how the outcome of doing that is. It's almost like telepathically communicating with the machine knowing a good hit is coming and then bam! big fish!!
Royals and 4AWK for everyone!!

I don't think so. No complaints against IGT in the last decade. I don't expect any to come either. They are a reputable company.FloridaPhil wrote: ↑Sun Apr 28, 2019 11:01 amI read thru most of them. I didn't read any complaints about rigged video poker machines. I did read some interesting things about Mr. Winn's lady problems. He definitely has issues. Did I miss something?

The fifth card is constantly shuffling until you hit the button.

You got it. Where it stops, nobody knows.

Right. Like the slot saps constantly rubbing their screens before a spin, but mental.

The machine telling you a big hit is coming is cool but the real masters tell the machine when to hit.

I agree, removing a "non performing" machine is not cheating. The floor is a business and has every right to be ran like one. It's nice to find them though hahahaha!
If that employee was not performing and costing the company money every week instead of making the company money, then he would get the boot.... just like the machine.

Reminds me of a five play machine in the high limit section at Golden Nugget. There were exactly two of them about 18 months ago; spouse and I played those two machines a lot . . . exclusively Deuces Bonus. I suppose we were lucky. It all ended when I was dealt four deuces plus Ace. 2000 credits per line, five lines, $10K. It may not be much for a high limit room, but both machines were disabled the next day, and off the GN floor within a few days, never to be seen again.
Regarding the "manipulation" of RNG, well, there are strings, and then, there are strings.

It would not involve IGT, but the individual casino. IGT, Aristocrat, Konami, Ainsworth, etc releases their machines to various casinos 100% fully compliant with Nevada state law. It's what the casinos do with them afterwards. Slot and VP machines are hooked up to a central control server. A "software update" can be injected into the control server, just like that magical switch that was being discussed. or maybe Sea Lion smoked something many years ago that also have a magical switch to release such mind altering substances in increments!
Or maybe, just maybe that this just might be on the up and up...

I doubt that Nevada Gaming Commission field investigators announce to a particular casino or gaming establishment prior to them coming that they will be there to perform checks on machines. Not all machines are server based either. I believe that "software updates," when performed, are easily tracked via the machine's memory.
