New VP machines coming
I read on another web site that Gulfstream Racino in Broward Co. Florida is scaling back its slots from about 1200 to about 500 and replacing them with video poker machines. That'll be a nice trend! they are apparently hurting for business and needed to make a change. Now if they will only put in some decent paytables the word will get out and business will only increase. Nice to see this happen!! Seems like the casinos usually take out the VP and replace them with slots. nice to see it go the other way. Of course the reason their VP wasn't being used is always because the paytables are lousy.
I HATE lousy paytables. Last time I was in Vegas (October) I found a bunch of 6/5 JoB. And guess what......NOBODY was using them. Grrrrrrrrrr.

Greed as evidenced by your seeing empty 6/5 JOB machines can be a real blow to the bottom line of a Casino. The floor space in a Casino, I suspect has a hourly number that that Real Estate costs the Casino. If it earns nothing......
If I was running that business, I would be finding a new Director of Slot Operations.
Keep us informed on what they do there. A trip to the warmer climes might be in order.
