Well, I have to chime in here. I'll say that I indeed hear the word "nazi" used frequently these days in relation to any sort of extreme and/or pushy opinion, having nothing to do with Germany or the Nazi Party. Grammar nazis, breastfeeding nazis, femi-nazis... all sorts, sadly... including the aforementioned "Soup Nazi" character put forth by Jerry Seinfeld, who I think we can all agree was not referencing the Nazi Party in any way.  DaBurglar's referring to "gold member Nazis" was obviously a reference to people being pushy about upgrading to gold and not white supremacy (though I really haven't seen that sort of pushiness here, other than from edog in an often lighthearted manner).Having said that, Tedlark obviously does not appreciate the term being used about him personally for understandable reasons. Personal attacks are not allowed, so please refrain from using it about him in the future since it would obviously come across as mean-spirited, given what you now know. Thanks.

Fine.....thank you webman.I will not call Ted or anyone else a NAZI, even though you very accurately and quite proficiently clarified and defined EXACTLY what was meant and what is implied with my usage of the term GOLD MEMBER NAZI.....and yeah, I am pretty sure EVERYONE in this thread was being humorous WHEN they actually made whatever post it was that might have lit up some controversy.    I would however point out one tiny detail before this gets buried.......go back and read the SEQUENCE of things in this thread, the actual POSTS and who made them and at what  TIME STAMP......Casino Knight was the first to even mention my usage of the term Gold member nazi, and did so in an obviously casual manner, followed by a more specific post in which he stated that if HE were the target of a SERIOUS, BLATANT ill willed application of "nazi" he would be offended.....but CK was very clearly  ONLY detailing a HYPOTHETICAL scenario that did not contain the levity of this thread.....Ted's first reply at 8:29pm following both my usage of the term "GOLD member Nazis"  AND  Casino knight's pair of posts made zero mention of any offense taken or displeasure of the term ....in fact Ted is gleefully comparing and detailing how inferior my Video Poker achievements are to Casino Knights' achievements;   Ted is clearly having a good time in his post of 8:29pm!     Yet, Almost 30 minutes later at 8:53 PM does Ted finally decide to take  "offense"  and posts a few words to that effect.......Pretty obvious and self evident what transpired here.....essentially MUCH ADO ABOUT LESS THAN NOTHING.     But no more NAZI remarks from me, that's for shiiite sure......Is it just me or has the hypocrisy level of certain segments of this forum population hit a new low?    Many people lament the  excessive political correctness that infests both society at large and to a smaller extent, this forum.     And among the many people lamenting the excessive political correctness would be a few who seemingly cannot abide this NEWEST and LATEST example of a specific   "N-word"  lighting  up the forum controversy index!     How many more "N words" can we take?

I'll make it so simple that even a DaBurglar can understand: "I didn't reply to it in my post of 8:29 pm BECAUSE I DIDN'T CATCH IT." It wasn't until I went back and reread the thread did I catch it.

If only you spent as much time playing video poker as you do backtracking and defending what you did then maybe you'd be pretty good at video poker.
