BJ players, the good ones anyway, don't count on casinos for free rooms or even meals.
Unlike Video Poker, where you hope to break even in the many hours in between royalist, a BJ pro can expect an hourly profit that is easily determined.
When playing with rules A and spreading B with C as a basic bet, one can get an average profit per hour.
Living in NYC, one can hit many PA casinos in three hours of driving, get in a few hours, stay in a motel overnights and do the opposite the next day.
As for the rest, you are making some assumptions that are incorrect.Ok.....I'll bite.....what assumptions am i making that are incorrect?   What you described above with BJ is certainly still feasible in a place like Vegas, and even Reno, where there are enough BJ tables and casinos that a player who is discreet and low key can exist under the radar for a long time, accruing profit and not get on any casinos watch list or banned list.   It would be more difficult in Penn though.....you seem to dismiss driving for three hours plus....I don't.  That's significant time doing something that is tiring and unproductive, as well as costly.   You dont have ANTHING like that issue in Vegas or Reno, everything is in either walking distance or Public Transportation comes to the rescue, costing almost nothing.Casinos WILL ban players from playing BJ when they determine they are professionals who ALWAYS (or almost always) win......surely you know this. But I am sincerely interested in what I am assuming incorrectly.....unlike certain people who insist otherwise, I readily admit there is far more I still do NOT know than there is stuff I DO know......someone a long time ago called that the definition of WISDOM

Casinos will ban players in Vegas because the State allows them to.
Read that twice.
Then go read Pennsylvania's State rules.

As I've said before, two of the most successful players I know don't live in Vegas. One lives in Boston, the other on Long Island. Travel is just something you factor in.
Players who live in Vegas travel east to play, just as they travel north, and other places as well. Vegas offers quantity, not necessarily quality. Some other places offer quality, not quantity. Players take advantage of both.

That's not exactly what I said, but if you were tossing hand grenades you'd have accomplished your goal.
