I need to know whether the other person was also to be blindfolded, or, if not, the quality of their eyesight.   You might have a 50% chance of fulfilling your boast.
Are you guys telling me that if I got drunk and told someone I could beat them at VP blindfolded, it might be a bad idea?

Drunk is not the bad idea here.
I know of one that always plays drunk or at least with a hangover and he hit royals and aces at will.

Drunk and blindfolded is a bad idea.  In real play, I've seen people so tipsy they could barely push the right buttons hit all kinds of jackpots.  So if you HAVE to do one or the other leave the blindfold at home.
