What's the best item to eat in Atlantic city?
I really loved my burger and Chicky and Pete's. It was a burger topped with shaved prime rib, and maybe bacon. It was so good, I must have sounded like Bob Wiley in What about Bob? when he was moaning while he ate.
Had it once it was really loaded, very juicy and salty, then the next time, kind of light, not as flavorful. Haven't been back to AC in 18 months, not even sure if that restaurant is still in Tropicana.
All the other food I ever ate in Atlantic City, don't even remember it. I remember the bad food, Philly sub at Breadsticks at Resorts, and how dirty the place was. Margaritaville was a nice replacement, the Jambalaya was good how I like it, but a little pricey(which is the expectation there).

I had a really good pastrami reuben from room service. I can't remember if it was Caesar's or Harrah's though.
Buca di Beppo in Bally's is a place I enjoy for dinner and/or their all you can eat breakfast buffet. Love the Spicy Chicken Rigatoni.

The $1 dollar oysters at Harrys Oyster Bar during Happy hour, and for burgers the $5 8oz. Black Angus burger at M & S @ Harrahs is incredible. For steaks, the Chicago Style Prime Bone-In Ribeye @ Mortons in Caesars.

Filet Mignon at Old homestead, Grey Goose martini, crabmeat cocktail. A little pricey, but I normally use my comp dollars and take my business partner. The Happy Hour at the Chart House at the Nugget is a great value. Good food and drinks, fair prices and a great view of the Marina and skyline.

Chart House definitely has a good reputation. I definitely do not have anything other than a gambling budget. Food seems like a nuisance to the gambling. Next shot out there, will have to dedicate a budget to eat good. Always seems I either spend my money at casinos on the way or lose most in the first three hours. White house is good. We had a slot forum party where we cruised the marina and had food from there. It was pretty cool, very nice evening.

Carmines, at the Trop. A pale imitation of the original NYC eatery, but best of class in AC

Is Carmines in a house or is that another Italian place?

It's in the newer section of the Trop, The Quarter, or at least it was last time I went. Its across the street from the casino, but part of the property.
