Just as I was getting comfortable with my VP sabbatical.

Poker gods decide to take back some of the crumbs...-$200 .25c fpdw. To add insult to injury, hit lots of natural quads including two quad aces and two quad 4's...and several failed attempts at popping the 4th deuce.

The VP gods claim another major victory over me, poor mortal that I am, as I lose an epic battle of .25c 10/6 DDB single line play last night, -$300. Hitting a quad Ace no kicker, two quad deuces no kicker, and quad 3's with kicker proved not to be enough for the angry vp gods, who are upset that I was able to even pick up some crumbs lately from their hungry mouths...they have taken all the crumbs.
I have no choice now, bruised and battered, but to hide underground and heal and get strong again before I can emerge like a phoenix rising from the ashes and slay with great vengeance and righteous anger these vp gods from hades... In other words, taking a break. lol.
Cheers

Don't worry, it'll be another nominal loss month.

I really enjoy your Dealing in the Desert live streams. I watched the new one this morning. My GF and I are both subscribed. I especially enjoy the ones where you are just playing video poker. Not as much of a fan of the Sit'next Go's.

Thanks for the line. I'm not going to be able to make everyone happy (the vp watchers, poker watchers, and hybrid watchers). But it's the direction I'm going and like I said, vp isn't going away, just taking a back seat for now. Thanks for the kind words and go do what I can't seem to do lately, hit lots of jackpots!
Cheers!

Putting the sit and go's back on the back burner and coming back to the game we all know, video poker. In the middle of a major move to a new house so obviously not able to post nor stream as much as I did, but it will resume sooner or later. In the mean time, break is over and time after some rest to get back some from the vp gods.

Back to battle...
Well, after a break I decided it's time to rise up and once again do battle against the vp gods...the decision today was...bumpy but break even.
First game is the super ER game .25c fpdw. Long story short, no deuces, no bueno as I polish off -$200 in about 2 hours...I wasn't done yet.
Wondering if the downswing would ever end, I checked out the main go to game for me, .25c 10/6 DDB and noticed the royal progressive was unusually high, $1,159.00. About 100.45% ER, but who's counting...you hit the hits or you don't. So sat down for another 2 hour battle hitting 3 quad 4's no kicker, quad 7's, and flopped quad kings which kept me even or a little up until finally hitting quad 3's with kicker and coming out of the days session exactly even. Wanted to keep going but just too darn tired after work and still moving houses which is always a pain. So I agree to a draw to the first battle back with the vp gods and hope they are more merciful going forward.
Cheers

Good day. A fellow forum member and I took hellacious AC beat downs today. You're a smart and disciplined player, staying on quarters no matter what, which is more than I can say for myself.
