Everyone....EVERYONE on this forum is smart enough to figure things out on their own, and to "master" what it takes to be and play as an "AP".    Seriously, what is the big deal about all this?   Even if you are not good at math, there are so many tools and aids available today to make up the difference.The only thing an AP (like Bob D.) has that the rest of us do not is the motivation and desire to spend his limited life span in a casino.Its all about what you want to do with your time on this planet.....fortunately, the vast majority of people do NOT want to be ..."AP" casino game players.  The world, as bad as it is, would be far far worse if more people chose the life path of these casino denizens.But I maintain you can still be a once in a while, casual (once a month) player and still be pretty astute and "good" at video poker (or may other casino games.)   You can have a life and live it to, to coin a phrase......

Of course after a major loss, the casino emails you to return the very next week for a great multiplier opportunity. I'm sure that one hit your inbox as well. Once a month is a pretty good goal to have. Diamond Lounge regulars is a phenomenon which I have yet to appreciate.

Well, I'll be damned. I agree with DB on this one. I've never considered doing this for a living. Especially after seeing what the lifestyle did to a few AP's I knew. A few hours a week or every other week is fine for me.

For sure.  Why on God's Earth would someone choose to spend his entire working life in a casino playing VP for a living when there are so many productive good paying careers in America?   Must be really lazy or just like hanging out with drunks in smoky rooms.  I can stand it on vacation or for a nice day away from the house, but full time?   Can you imagine the toll that would take on your mind and your body?

Negative thinking and thoughts place a terrible toll on ones body, and I'm not sure I've ever run into anyone with more negative energy than our Mr Fa La La La La.... La la la la.
Of course, like every blowhard I've ever met, he thinks its always the other guys fault.

I suppose that makes two of us.   I have three grandsons.  I want them to have productive careers with a future.   I want them to be able to support their families and have kids of their own.  Hopefully I want them to do better than I did.  If you think becoming a professional gambler is the way to make this happen, something is seriously wrong with your thinking.

A lot of negative karma here. Isn't there anyone else like me who employs Bill Ryan's discipline on only playing the best paytables at full coin, but only plays recreationally a few hours a week? I can't be alone on this.
