Sunny Sunday. I was due for a rebound trip, and one was granted. I chose to begin at Bally's, which was quite fortuitous. I made $80 worth of hay with $25 FP. I noticed that the quarter JOB was responding nicely, so I took advantage of the casino's denomination flexibility and bumped it to fifty cents. I hit max, holding the Queen of Diamonds. All three of the other suits magically appeared for a $62.50 hit. Thank you ladies. I then hit the craps table. Guy crapped out on me in a blink, nine to seven. Time to hit the boardwalk for a spring stroll to Resorts. CWs 100% AARP. There was an AIDS walk. I picked up some nice items from sponsors. The tram has risen to $3, so I'm glad to be in fine health. Looks like I'll be back on the jitney this year for boardwalk trips if I don't walk. I returned to Bally's, where I managed to merely break even despite hitting another quad. I saw a woman at my old machine increase her bankroll from $100 to $451! I was of course incredibly jealous. I said to her after cashing out, in another lifetime I hope to have your luck. She replied, "Oh, no. I lost before." All I know is that she was kicking Bally's butt nine ways to Sunday.I then ventured into Caesars, my burial ground the last three trips. I played about an hour of quarter JOB. Progressive was $1,065, and with good reason. I lost $30, despite a $25 quad! Enraged, I marched to dollar JOB against my better judgment. I held my own, then lost $50. Then the hot cycle began, and I recouped JOBQ losses and won another $14. Then I got the hell out of town, lunch be damned. Happy camper once more. All is not forgiven. I know that I was given a pass this time. Dollar JOB is no laughing matter. No time for lunch, but with my personality I cannot risk staying in Sodom by the Sea. +$79 net. Not enough for what I wanted to buy. But I was conservative. Once singed, twice shy. Takeaway: I much prefer Bally's machine set up. You can seamlessly switch from quarter to fifty to dollar and back without having to get up and go to another bank. Same Caesars odds, but huge added convenience. I do hate upright machines, but it's a worthwhile trade off. I will be spending much less time at Caesars henceforth.

Another bad day. I won $21 from $25 FP on two Caesars JOBs. A woman got on the first one that was so cold and soon hit a quad. I won $25 craps FP on an eleven. In seventy five minutes I gave back both wins plus $100. Dollar machine ruin again. Long ATM walk for $120. I tried Bally's. Their sliding scale machines are the best. After much pain, I hit a $37.50 quad to put me at $91. Switched and hit another quad. They gifted me four Kings! But I was so low, it only netted $12.50. $46 total. More Caesars play bumped it to $57. ATM disaster. Lost half of the withdrawal. What a wreckage. Caesars is cursed these days. The craps staff said a guy suffered a fatal heart attack two days ago at my table. "They worked on him a lot." Lord have mercy. Then this morning, ambulance wheeled someone off in a body bag before my eyes! I have officially had it here! Please offer some words of solace for a man in dire need.

Why is it obvious to everyone but you that you have a problem?
When almost every post you write says you have to avoid dollar machines and the next one you claim dollar machines killed you, what do you think the solution is?

An hour and 15 on a dollar machine with less than $150 seems pretty good. Were you single coining? JOB?

Absolutely. Intelligence and willpower are a poor fit with me. It's helpful just to have this dialogue. I welcome the tough love. I must ban myself from this particular place due to its tempting configuration and my lack of willpower. I don't fool around at Bally's ever. Strictly .25 and .50. There's my answer.

Paco, I just play "safe" JOB. Single coining is beyond my current discipline level. So I'll patronize the one place that facilitates quarter and fifty. It's a dump, but at least I won't dump bankroll there.

Try leaving the ATM card home. Take what you are willing to lose, and maybe take a later BUs.

These double deaths there within 48 hours are the final nail in the coffin. They have in one fell swoop cast an ominous pall over the place for me. The venue is entirely cursed. Irrational, but it serves my ends. I'm a calm, disciplined player right next door. I'm not obligated to spend a red cent at Caesars. I will be more fiscally prudent. I was blinded by both glitz and greed.

Safe on Saturday. I won a healthy $32 from $25 Bally's FP. I elected to stay and chase a quad, which felt imminent. $150 coin in later, max quad deuces. It cost $13 of the $32. Damn my luck. Dealt a pat diamond Flush, but it was four to RF. Of course I went for the gusto. Six of clubs! Damn my luck. I hit craps. No room at the inn. High roller with a fistful of bens tried to muscle in, but rebuffed by pit boss. He sees me lurking and asked if everything was okay. "I can't play. No I'm not okay." Major casino thinks just a dozen guys want to play craps on Sat. He said wait until 1. I hit Harrah's for cheap lunch and returned. Now two tables were packed. Third empty, so I played. Four, crappy point. I hit it the very next roll. More VP. $10 became $33 with my $19 quad. I tried Caesars. $1,004 Fri Prog now $1,016. I inserted $100 hoping for $130. I got down to $78, but recovered to cash out $103 after forty minutes and $350 coin in. No urge to go dollars. Hopefully I'm cured, but it's one day at a time. Greed is omnipotent. $50 net win after trip cost. Not cigar worthy. Dull as dirt, but thrilling after my struggles.

How do you get $25 free play each trip when you only earned about 50 total tier credits today? Is the $25 from a bus trip where they are giving back part of your bus trip cost?
