Re: My Journey on Video Poker
Headed to play full pay deuces .25c single line with determination to retaliate with a few blows to the vp gods. Instead, I walked into a trap as they beat me down to submission and hand me my worst fpdw session to date, -$600. The first $350 came and went very quickly. The last $250 was a good battle, but at the end you get the deuces or you don't, i did not. Probably played in the vicinity of 5,500-6,000 hands.
So now I must retreat, heal, and regroup.
Cheers

Some cold cycle! After losing the $200 deuces equivalent, consider quitting time.
I can't wait to resume my battle after last session's $125 Straight Flush.

Decided to take $50 bucks I made working overtime tonight and play some "safe" single line quarter 9/6 jacks or better. Goal was to survive awhile, get some free drinks, and call it. Hopefully leave up a few bucks. Instead, went down the rabbit hole in under 5 minutes. Convinced the vp gods hate me now. The break may have to last a bit longer.

Horrible news. My whole FPJOB bank got slammed today. Twenty yards away, I stopped to hear a guy's deafening celebration. I ran over. Royal Flush No Joker. $4,000. I'm really depressed.

FAA if you get depressed because others hit royal flushes and other premium hands while playing video poker and you don't, you really should consider giving video poker up.
Unless you were kidding.

Quick session of 10/6 quarter DDB yesterday. Played about 25 min. Hit quad 8s, quad 2's no kicker, and straight flush. Cashed out +$50. That's it. Short and sweet.

One hour session of .50c nsud. No deuces, but still walked away with +$40 for this one.

After an honest try, I moved back to Deuces Wild after testing the waters with Bonus Poker. With no decent jackpot other than a royal, I have a hard time staying engaged with BP. I thought BP would reduce my losses, but not hitting enough quads has the same effect as not hitting a quad deuce. You would think after all these years I would be used to it... Not.

The fact that you were giving up close to one percent of potential return probably did not help, either.
