Never had THIS happen before!
Playing VP, not too far from a bank of progressive slot machines (don't know the name of them, but bonus round gives player free spins, hoping to fill a "board" of 16 blank spaces).
I hear screaming, shouting. Guy wins the grand prize of $20K, on a one dollar bet. Others playing the same slots congratulate him, he keeps screaming.
He takes a check for $15K, and cash the rest.
After getting paid, he starts praising God and handing out hundred dollar bills to everyone in his row. Then, walks over to my spouse and me, hands us $160, kisses us both on the head, and leaves.
So, never had a slot jackpot winner share his cash.
Then, no more than 15 minutes later, another slot in the SAME bank of progressives hits the Grand jackpot again, which had re-set to $10K.
FYI, that person did not share their cash.

Doug in 2002 I hit a 15k royal while playing a Double Pay machine at Harrah's in Joliet, IL. After getting paid off I gave each other player in the bank (5) $100.00. I was not as generous with the kisses though.....

It was probably his first time in a casino, lol. Wonder if he knows he will owe taxes. Any how sounds like a nice guy who probably deserved the win. Hope he doesn't get drawn in to addiction chasing more jackpots. Good for you being in the right place/time.

The jackpot winner was from Michigan, it sounded like his first trip to Vegas with his wife . . . he was surely not thinking about the taxes he will owe.
I'm still contemplating the kisses he gave out to all us strangers . . .

Sounds like "Lightning Link". Those slots are insanely popular at my local casino.
I have had two people give me $20 before for just being social with them while playing and they did well.
I bought a neighbor a beer who rooted me on for a $250 hit. haha

I Googled "Lightning Link." YES, that's it, though I guess it is fill in 15 squares on the board, not 16. I agree, that bank of slots at my local casino are always occupied, very popular.

I've won some big ones and at times have given people money. Won $40,000 and gave a lady like $300.
It feels good to give in the rare times you win.
