Ducks and cover. I'd never hang around afterwards. Why ask for trouble?

Why ask for trouble? Because you might hit the deuces again, or, maybe, a royal?

DAN you ever think about moving up to NSUD $1 level? I assume your not getting any perks playing full pay at .25.  Building free play and mailers at a higher level be worth it? I been frustrated by this game. Weeks back I played deuces for 90 mins. 5 times 3 ducks off the deal and 2 times 4 to the royal nothing to show for it. I know is a small amount of hands but over the last 3 months much of the same results on the game playing on and off.I am a points player now and 9/6 jacks is my game 99% of the time. I love deuces but the game don't like me!

Yup, this. When you're playing a -EV game and you're up, then sure, quitting while you're ahead is a sensible move. But at FPDW (and any other +EV game), any extra hand you play (assuming you play correctly, obv) is theoretical money in your pocket.

I'm in Vegas right now - I was at Green Valley Ranch yesterday playing some FPDW, hit deuces and was up about $250. I could have stopped, but I kept playing - about 10 minutes later, I hit another one - now I'm up about $550. I could have stopped, but I kept playing and hit one more about 30 minutes later! So now I'm up about $850, and I only quit because I was hungry.

I lost back about $400 throughout the day, but hey, those are the video poker breaks. Just keep playing those +EV games and the math will work out in the end.

Wild, I enjoy DW too and get full pay version. It hates me too. Hammered both on the phone and my rare casino attempts. Just dismal.

Y'all got that Vegas swagger, along with Phil. Must be the heat. Gangster! I'm just way more conservative. I'll never be more than a modest winner/loser. I would like to achieve three digit wins on winning days. So clearly I must raise the volume.

OMT, you're right. DW stinks all over town, even at Borgata. Just a wild overreaction to my mobile busts. All the more reason to avoid the game. Return just isn't there.

Getting full points and multipliers with the fpdw so don't see much point in playing any other quarter games for the moment, unless I get bored with fpdw and have to switch games.
Yes, not getting deuces or the royal after a long period of time does cause some discomfort. Then again, not getting premium hands in any video poker game can cause discomfort.
No, I don't think it matter when one starts or stops a session, either up or down. But, yes, much easier to quit earlier when one is up. Depends on my goals and tolerance and time and tiredness level in some sort of funny equation to figure out the time to cash out and get out.
Cheers!
