A stronger understanding the shuffles

The RNG is constantly shuffling through millions of card combination prior to the deal button? Is that correct? And as the same as the draw button or are the cards static in position?

People seem to be obsessed with this question and I don't understand it.IIRC, there was a guy in the 90's who figured out a very obscure pattern and took advantage of it, so the shuffling method was changed.Unless you are trying to do the same, why does it make any difference at all whether it shuffles constantly or once? It seems the same to me, other than attempting super-genius pattern recognition that I am probably not even capable of.{shrug}
