Maybe Webman can get the scoop from the programmers whether the multipliers are equally likely ... or, if not, what their probabilities are.  Or maybe it is a deep, dark trade secret that must be protected or the world as we know it would be irrevocably altered!

New, good work as usual. With regard to using the chi-squared gft, didn't someone once try and say your calculations were wrong because the chi-squared gft didn't fit the application? I seem to remember something along those lines.

As for seeing a 2X multiplier 2 times while seeing a 12X multiplier 7 times, couldn't that be simply attributed to the name of the game?

Just asking.

Thanks, Ted.  Without mentioning any names, I guess that I have talked about this over the years and there has been a fair amount of misunderstanding at times, even by some who are excellent at some aspects of math.  It is probably difficult to get the fine points of semi-advanced statistical tests in a video poker blog.  You can search the forums looking for my username and the word "square."  I may use chi-square sometimes while others using chi-squared.  I've searched to see which is proper and both terms seem to be used in literature. As for seeing a 2X multiplier 2 times while seeing a 12X

I'm assuming this is a joke.  And if I had thought of the pun, I would have thought it was funnier.  Puns are like that.If this was a serious question, at this point, I attribute the difference in results simply to randomness.  And this Haywire game looks very similar to a previously NAMED game, Moving Multipliers, which wouldn't have elicited the same comment.  The only difference that I saw is that in MM, the multiplier's value did not change as it moved from hand to hand.

Yes, it was a joke. Granted it may not rate very high if published in the Harvard Lampoon but that doesn't lessen the humor it brought to me.

Thanks for taking the time to write as detailed of a response as you did. This completely makes sense now. I owe you a beer.

Sorry about getting you name wrong. Those keys are so close together on my keyboard!

Is it possible to vulture this game like Ultimate X?

In theory, it's possible, but it will be harder because you need enough multipliers sitting on board to cover the cost of the full 8 credit bet.

A heads up about Haywire Poker.

The top screen of the video poker machine has a changing screen that says "Featuring Moving Multipliers" with the logo. So what I am guessing is Moving Multipliers is the incomplete prototype to this Haywire Poker game.

The pay schedules I saw are set lower than the one on this website. 7/5 or 8/5 DDB instead of 9/5 DDB for GOLD members (cannot customize).

Haywire Math >> ?

Wizard of Odds states that the probability of a receiving multiplier is 11.49%...with equal possibilities for each multiplier.

In a 3 line game, what are the odds of generating a multiplier for all 3 hands at once? Fun times!

Exciting game imho, more multiplier chances than STP, but more initial coin in... and more variance I would guess... but definitely exciting as you see more double digit multipliers.

Stayed at the Palms about a month ago. I saw that they had 2 of these machines, but didn't play. I'm heading back in a couple of months.

If any of the Vegas locals/travelers could get a glimpse of the offered games/paytables here, (or any other casino for that matter) it would be appreciated. VPfree2 has none listed as of yet.
