How I spent the summer of 1991

Post by DaBurglar »

Despite my disability, I actually managed an asphalt manufacturing plant (about 12 employees not including myself) after working the previous two summers there during my summer breaks from Harvard....I busted my crippled arse doing, and learning everything there was to know about the business, so that on my FINAL summer break (May to September) the owner allowed ME, a 22-1/2 soon-to-be Harvard Grad to run his 11 million dollar a year "dirt factory"....not only was I paid well, he gave me a nice bonus before seeing me off for my final semester at the Big H.   Money aside, it was quite honestly the MOST fun I ever had getting paid, far exceeding the enjoyment experienced in the many many years (1992-2009) as a Marketing Executive on the west coast.(Thread within a Thread)"How I spent the last two hours prior to logging on and posting a little more than 35 minutes ago...."First, I made a pot roast sandwich, one of my favorite simple culinary joys....then I ate it....I gave my lone remaining Pug, Gustavus two and a half bites.....then I paid a bill....I subsequently thought about clipping my toenails but decided to save that activity for bedtime.    Then just before logging on to post, Publisher's Clearinghouse knocked on my door and told me I just won $63,274.67 a year for the next twenty years (along with a lifetime supply of brillo pads)....and to think I have not renewed my subscription to reader's digest in 15 months!I'm the luckiest, most blessed cripple in the state of Massachusetts!!!!!!
