Bill, You're on for $100.

$100 that the Democrats win control of the House and are the majority party next Congress.

I'll make it even better, Bill. I'm in for $100, but if the Dems don't get control you owe me nothing. Just a feeling I have.

Trump LOST the popular vote in 2016, regardless of what he or his sycophants delusions seem to claim......2016 was a perfect storm of sorts......first off, NO one, not even Trump's team, expected Trump to win, nor should he have won.   Primarily due to the wholesale lack of charisma, lack of integrity and lack of personal appeal on the part of Hillary Rodham Clinton, a huge swath of democratic voters stayed home in many vital parts of the country where they would have tipped the scales in her favor if they had shown up.....In terms of experience and career accomplishments in Politics, very few past presidential candidates were as QUALIFIED as Hillary Clinton to be POTUS.    The fact that she was the first Woman candidate and potentially the first female POTUS should have been a HUGE asset, but again a surprisingly significant number of female voters (of all parties) refused to support her....This is not to say that all the people who normally would have, and should have, voted for Hillary went and automatically voted Trump.    A great many of these frustrated disillusioned Democrats and Independent Centrists simply stayed home....but the ones who still went out and voted appear to have voted Trump more so than for a write in.....Also, across many demographics and parties and regions, more than a few people who prior to the election had scoffed at Trump and his chances, wound up voting for the Man at the last minute, almost as a joke or on a lark! The reasoning may have gone something like "I'm sick of Washington, and the usual results.   Both parties are full of do nothing politicos who only care about themselves;   Trump is an outsider and says he will "drain the swamp and shake things up".....why not, what the hell!?!?!  I'm voting for the jerk, he doesn't have a chance in hell anyway, what's the difference???"       At the end of the night, when the results started to be tabulated and the exit polls tallied, Trump emerged the unlikely victor!    His own team was initially paralyzed in disbelief and shock, a veritable chorus of "Holy Sh*t!  Now what do we do?" Come 2020, after four years of what we have seen just this past year alone .... plus MUCH MUCH worse to come as Trump faces real bonafide true blue crises and challenges and completely fails to meaningfully and effectively address them ......while simultaneously doing every stupid idiotic self indulgent thing he can to create MORE problems for himself, his administration & its exasperated staff and ultimately for the American People AND the WORLD......he will be GONE!

Many did not support Hilary because they did'not think she could be president from a prison cell.

DB, you certainly are smart enough to understand why we have the electoral college and the popular vote is irrelevant. I remember the dems gleefully predicting that although Bush might win the popular vote in 2000, Gore would win the electoral vote. They were crushed when exactly the opposite happened. Your rant shows why Trump haters still don't get it. Robbie Mook, Hillary's campaign chief told her don't worry about Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and Michigan. We're up anywhere from 6-8 points in those states. I never thought Trump could win without Florida 's 29 electoral votes, but as it turns out he would have. If the dems lurch left, like they appear to be doing, they will lose in 2000 again. Joe Biden, where are you?
