How long did you have to play video poker before you hit your first royal? I’m easily in over 120 hours without a royal. I have a friend who started 6 months ago, plays maby once every other week and has managed to hit 4 royals.... I’ve had 3 trips to Vegas, 2 to Laughlin and still no luck.

Since no one else bothered to respond let's see if I can help you.... it's not a question of time in hitting a royal, it's a question of number of hands, the specific game you are playing, and sheer randomness or LUCK.

If you are just playing a typical straightforward single line game of jacks or better, or bonus poker or double bonys, then you can rest assured knowing that the mathematically normal rate of getting a royal is once every 44,000 to 45,000 hands....of course you could get a royal at ANY time, but long term that's what your average should be....

So how many total hands do you think you have played so far?

It’s hard to say, I run easily over 600+ hands per hour. I tend to sit alone.. I have not hit a royal flush on win poker app either.. easily over 100,000 hands I have had the app for over a year and play regularly.. I know it’s mainly right place right time

Sometimes it feels like the royal will never come and then you will get a couple bunched together. 100,000 hands is 2 and a half cycles. Yes it is a long time but nothing out of the ordinary. If you make the correct plays they will come....eventually

I really don't remember how many hands I played before my first royal but I have had my share over the years.
