Good May trip to the coast!
I have just returned from a week on the Mississippi coast. In the past, I have had decidedly mixed results. But this was such a good trip that I decided to brag about it, even though I do absolutely realize that I was very lucky!
During the week, I made 10 unique casino visits. I play $1 and $5 DW and DDB, but only if the paytables are at least halfway decent.
Here is my visit by visit running total. My accounting system records what I walked into the casino with, minus what I walked out with, net after taxes, if any. I don't include my actual trip expenses for room, food, travel, etc. (I would have taken a vacation regardless of whether or not casinos were available.)
1. + $7,300
2. - $500
3. + $1,900
4. - $700
5. - $700
6. - $700
7. - $420
8. - $400
9. - $700
10. + $3,678
TOTAL +8,758
7 out of 10 casino sessions were losers, as is to be expected. But the three winning sessions pushed me way over the top. It is very depressing to have losing session after losing session. But, as Dancer always advises, you gotta look at the big picture, not individual sessions.
This was an unusual trip for me, as I usually have 1 or 2 winning sessions and the rest are all losers. But I will take whatever I can get! Thank you, VP Gods!

If you received any W2Gs in Mississippi you paid 3% off the top in Mississippi gambling taxes. You also played negative VP. As you surmised you were lucky. There is absolutely nothing wrong with being lucky. The money spends just the same. If you never go back you could be a long term Mississippi VP winner. Congratulations on a fun entertaining trip to the Gulf Coast!

Nice.
How much of your play was at the $5s, and how long were the sessions?
Loosing $400 or $700 on the fives isn't too bad and could be just a few minutes.

Congratulations. Three winning sessions instead of the usual one or two. The last seven sessions were a wash. That's a lot of complimentary wagering.

A session for me is from 2 to 3 hours max, but can be a lot shorter if I run out of pre-planned session money. I play $1, starting with $100, and anytime my credits go to $125 or higher I play $5 until I return to $100.
